There’s a stigma around technical-sounding ingredient names like this, with an underlying fear that they are unnatural and somehow bad for skin. The reality is you can’t judge an ingredient by the complexity of its name. Doing so could lead you to mistakenly avoid ingredients like EGCG, which happens to be an antioxidant-rich constituent of green tea that offers incredible skin-soothi...ng benefits. How about tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate? It’s a stable form of vitamin C. Butyrospermum parkii? That’s shea butter. 10.01.2022 What comes to mind when you think of a facial peel? Maybe irritation and inflammation? Not fun for skin, however promising a high-concentration of exfoliants sounds. That’s why we included soothing ingredients such as butterfly pea flower, also known as blue matcha. It has been shown to have a calming effect on skin, so it was perfect to pair with the potent acids in this formula. The actual breakdown of the acid percentages comes out to 2% salicylic, 8.4% glycolic, 7.1% l...actic, 5% mandelic, 2.5% malic acid and 2% tartaric acid for gentle (and fast!) multi-level resurfacing on the surface of skin and within the pores.
