11.01.2022 "Books Are Awesome" (2020) <3 I've been on such a wonderful journey with this piece. Originally a concept piece for Clunes Booktown in 2016, I archived it away as an unfinished drawing. This year, during our lockdown, I have been sorting through my folios, & came across this work again & had a strong desire to do something with it. And voila - a streetscape, with some very groovy weather patterns. I am so in love with the drawing process <3

08.01.2022 <3 Busy times here in the studio, I have lots of the go as always <3 <3 My mural project with Ballarat Neighbourhood Centre - is coming along brilliantly <3 I work with many people who try to tell me that they "can't draw", & yet each can make their own bautiful mark <3 What could be more perfect than that? <3 <3 My private students, who I work with 1:1, are learning a variety of skills - such as drawing & observation skills, journaling, working with a professional artist in ...an artist's studio <3 They remind me about the beauty of that joyous & youthful, organic mark making <3 <3 Creative & small business mentoring - with individuals & with the new group that I have helped establish, the Ballarat Creative Small Business Network <3 Each member has so much knowledge & experience to share <3 <3 I have also been using some of my time this year to take part in some online creative information sessions, such as the, "Fundamentals of Arts Fundraising", with Creative Partnerships Australia - really great stuff <3 <3 One of my great loves of course, is helping to build creative capacity in my own community, & I'm really chuffed to be doing some work with Ballarat Regional Multicultural Council - BRMC at the moment <3 Nyibol from A Tuk, & Martha from "Martha's Crochet", will be back at the BRMC Welcome Centre with their "Pop-Up" shop, on Friday 20 November, & Friday 11 December <3 These women are bringing some of the stunning colours of Africa, to Australia, "one cushion at a time" <3 Congratulations to all involved in the "Ballarat Stepping Stones to Small Business Program", managed by the wonderful Deborah Klein <3
