24.01.2022 [English version] Hi P&S family, Our spiritist centre has finished the activities for 2020.... We want to say a BIG THANK YOU to each and every one of you for your support during this year and, more importantly, for embarking with us on this digital jorney where we had to re-invent ourselves to keep our activities happening every Saturday, including the much needed fundraising events. From our heart to yours, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Very Happy 2021! We can't wait to see you all again soon. 10.01.2022 To contribute Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. Paul (II Corinthians, 9:7) When this quote from Paul was published, saying that God loves a cheerful giver, many people solely associated it with material charity.... However, the glory is not restricted to generous hands that distribute small donations to those in need or in pain. Naturally, all these demonstrations of love are recognised as divine but we should note that the verb to contribute is much greater than what we may think. Cooperation with justice is needed everyday and everywhere. Every person is capable of helping. It is not only the beggar who waits for it, but also our own family, our neighbours, our brothers in humanity, and even at our workplace, where we get our individual achievements from our daily efforts. Before going to bed, it is important to reflect about the quality of the collaboration we practised during our day, on conversations at work, on our affective relationships, and on any other aspect of our everyday life. Let's also be cautious about sadness and negative thoughts. All complaints, dissatisfaction, and lack of responsibility are not part of labour that the Father expects from our activities in the world. Let's mobilise our resources optimistically, not forgetting that the Father loves the child that contributes with happiness. 10.01.2022 Pause and Think The miracles I do in my Father’s name speak for me Jesus (John, 10:25) It is common to find ourselves concerned about family traditions, as well as valuing high status in our society, trying to project our personality as per our material achievements. ... However, in the spiritual world, the statuses we acquire on Earth does not count that much. Each spirit brings the vivid history of its own acts, and it is mainly based on the actions and moral achievements that a spirit will obtain merits or demerits. In saying that, it is important to emphasise that our actions have enormous potential, hence let’s use it wisely. Jesus’s quote above, in particular, illustrates it really well. Even being an Elevated Spirit, He didn’t sparet himself from the difficulties and adversities from this world. Jesus Chirst initiated his Divine Mission among farmers and labourers. He lived among unpleasant Doctors of Law and rebellious minds. He walked among the sick and the afflicted, always full of empathy and love. Therefore, what more can we ask for? If you wish for an easy life and distinguished position in this world, remind yourself of Jesus’ conduct: pause and think.
