16.01.2022 This week we spoke to Judi from Chelsea Care works what is really needed right now to help those in the community. Some of the pantry items that they are looking for to help the disadvantaged families that come to the pantry every week are: Rice Long life Milk Cereal... Sugar Bread Instant Coffee Toilet Paper (yes definitely we are all looking for this one) Tinned foods And any other pantry items you may have that you would love to donate to help a great cause and those in our community. With the pantry closed to walk-ins Judi is delivering or organising appointment only pick ups, so what we have worked out is a delivery spot to deliver any items you have. Monday & Tuesday preferably to Right Choice Conveyancing Office - 410A Nepean Highway Chelsea, they can be left at the reception and they will then be delivered to Judi for the Wednesday pantry. One in six children in Australia are disadvantaged & theyre goal is to help that 6th child. With donations & support from Pay it a forward this past year theyve been able to help over 3000 children. 11.01.2022 What a year 2020 has been. Yesterday we had our final 2020 networking meeting where we were able to meet once again in person after a long time on zoom. We fully appreciate zoom but there’s nothing like connecting in person Once again PIF were able to present Chelsea Care Works with a cheque for nearly $10,000 in 2020. The work Judi and her volunteers do for the local community is inspiring and we love being able to support this wonderful group of people. With many more ...families struggling this year the PIF contribution is a much needed donation to keep the breakfasts & pantry going every week. We are always looking for new members so if this group calls you to contact us. Please do so we are always happy to chat.

01.01.2022 This week we have transferred $400 to Chelsea Careworks, much needed funds for now and in the future to keep the Pantry open & once the kitchen can re-open be back to feeding approx 130 people every Wednesday morning in the community.

And we look forward to getting back there soon. Here’s an excerpt. in today’s society there are still many who slip through the cracks when it comes to support financially, emotionally and for housing. The amount received for pensions be it aged, disability or Ne...wstart, is not sufficient to enable people to adequately live a quality of life. Our numbers this past financial year has been impacted by Covid and restrictions. Our Breakfast served 3987 with our Food Pantry assisting 1148 with a number accessing both free services. Your generosity this past financial year has contributed $14,755 through fortnightly donations combined with larger amounts offered each quarter. These funds also assist with essential items to ensure the site is safely maintained and upgraded for our guests If you are a business owner in the area & want to be involved in PIF we’d love to hear from you.
