23.01.2022 This Saturday 5th December Port Broughton will celebrate the Festive Season with a Christmas Street Party. This will be a COVID Safe Event, with your help and understanding we can all work together to keep the community Safe. This Christmas Event will have:... COVID Safe Check-In with the mySA Gov App (Attendance sheet will also be available for anyone without the App at the entrance point.) Single Entry/Exit point at McKay Street/Bay Street corner next to the hall. (James Street will be fenced off and unable to be accessed from that end of McKay Street) Hand Sanitiser Stations located around the Event area COVID Marshals walking around the area Wearing of Face Masks is recommended while at the event ( a limited number of masks will be available at the entrance point) 550 Maximum attendance at one time (as per SA Health Covid Safe Plan, Dec 1st 2020) Please Keep to 1.5m physical distancing Food and Drinks may be consumed while standing or seated, seating will be available If we can all work together to keep this event Safe and Enjoyable for all who wish to attend. 22.01.2022 Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas... Port Broughton Progress Association, Aitchison Earthmoving and Barunga West Council have worked together to help decorate the Town Entrance and Bay Street with Festive Decorations. Check them out Day and Night when looking at the Christmas Lights around town. P.S...... Bay Street will seem a bit brighter at Night with the new decorations!

So break out the coloured pencils and show us what you can do! 12.01.2022 The rain came and left, The wind eventually blew its self away, The kids have hopefully tired themselves out, And darkness covers the town, Port Broughton celebrated Christmas as only 2020 could allow us.... Santa said 'Thank You to all the boys and girls young and young at heart, he was amazed at the little stories, the gifts and letters he received, he was touched by some of the wishes that were whispered to him and he will see you all again very soon! 11.01.2022 May is History Month! In 2021 Port Broughton will be celebrating its 150th year, and to celebrate the Barunga West Council will be hosting a History Weekend on the 28th - 30th May. A museum exhibition to showcase the town's history over the past 150 years.... A Uniquely Barunga art exhibition showcasing local artist. Showing of classic movies 'Oddball' and 'Last Cab to Darwin'. A classic and vintage Show'n'Shine. For more information about the above events check out the Barunga West Council Facebook page.
