20.01.2022 I wanted to decide on what i thought about the movie Cuties so I watched it carefully, reflected and thought I need to write an article- it’s coming . However in a nutshell I believe this movie Is a definite true reflection of the actions and behaviours of many of the young girls we meet, know and work with. Don’t get me wrong thIs movie has imagery and clips that are not ok and that I would consider Underage sexualised images ( child pornography) and should not be ...on the screen. But there is another question that is not being asked. The behaviour and actions of the girls in the movie is disturbing but we are not questioning why they have them. These girls have a lot going in their lives and are dealing with heavy life experiences, they are looking for role models and something to make them feel special and valued. And what did they find - a hyper sexualised culture that objectifies women and girls according to their sexual worth. We need to ask ourselves how did we let that happen ? Why is that still happening? Who on earth thinks this is ok?

19.01.2022 It’s time to ensure our kids GET OFF TIK TOK. In the last few weeks we have seen the platform Tik Tok being used to show Suicide . Sexualised images, assault and deceptive lures to sexualise and harm our children.. Parental controls on devices are not enough The best parental conttol is to say no ... How much more evidence do people need ?

11.01.2022 There goes another really busy couple of weeks. High schools. Safeguarding sessions, Parent sessions, teen mums, UK meetings, and more. And the next three weeks just as busy. I can't believe I haven’t been keeping everyone updated. (it’s my lack of photo-taking)... However, I did get pictures of yesterday’s training. Big thanks to the team at Warooga for being tuned in and really engaged and of course THANKS for singing with me. Loved meeting you all and thank you for your amazing and wonderful feedback. Looking forward to next time.

10.01.2022 PB West had wonderful night training with the Care for kids team at Duncraig on Wednesday night. A big thank-you to the whole team for inviting us to work with you this year, both online and in person- its been great. it is always inspiring to work with such dedicated and enthusiastic people.

06.01.2022 We cannot teach our children enough about their personal safety - all parents and carers need to make protective behaviours part of their parenting. In every Interaction we can empower our children with their right to feel safe. Role model, teach and reinforce all day every day until they know it in their heart, body, mind and spirit. it is important to teach them to recognise the tricky behaviours of unsafe people.
