19.01.2022 Report from Izzy on last day of competition which was her speech at the formal dinner: Hey everyone, So you know I’m Izzy and I’ve had the pleasure of being one of the Aussie team captains this year... I first heard about the exchange in 2016 right before Lach and Darcy were about to head off to Ireland. I heard so many crazy and incredible stories from that trip once the boys got back, I decided I absolutely had to try out for the next trip, and so I set my sights on attending this exchange 2 years later. From the boys description of the trip, I was expecting wonderful things, but honestly this trip has surpassed all expectations I came here with. Aside from the incredible experience of being able to travel with your sport and compete for your country on an international platform, the friendships and memories that we have all created in the past few weeks have been those of a lifetime. Some of my personal favourites include the guess who this embarrassing story belongs to game, and I think we can all agree that our Lacho took the cake. Andrew baracoodaing Louise's bum, Nic adopting Toby and Adam as his new dads, meeting the infamous snake of Ireland floods, our pony club chant, basically anything that comes out of Lach's mouth, and countless other moments that I have been told are not appropriate for such a formal setting. On behalf of Lach and I, and the whole Australian team, I’d like to thank all the people here - Katie, Jody, Robyn, Alicia, and countless others - for organising and making this trip what it’s been. To all the other competitors, coaches, and team managers, thank you for not only being tough competition, but genuine and wonderful people that without this experience would not have been the same. We’d especially like to thank you all for lending us your guns over the trip. To the wonderful Aussie parents and aunts that are here today, and for all the competition days, to support and cheer all of us on, thank you beyond words! And to the parents from other teams, thank you also for being so encouraging of our team throughout the trip! And finally to Janet and Erin, thank you for keeping us all organised and in check and for some how traveling this team of misfits half way around the world in one piece. We appreciate all the time you have dedicated to us all, for keeping us all grounded when needed, and for lifting us all up on our lower days. So I’ll miss you all, I’ve enjoyed every minute of this incredible experience, and I’m so proud of everyone here, especially our team of Aussies. On behalf of the team I would also like to thank Pony Club Australia for their support of us. We hope that our experiences help encourage other pony club members to apply for these trips. PS. Outstanding results from all riders. Many PBs and our very own individual girls champion in Tully Watt. The girls team came third and the boys team fourth. The girls had the best riding score of the competition.
17.01.2022 Goldie made some new friends at Avon Valley Tetrathlon this weekend. Well done to everyone who completed!
16.01.2022 More great results from our team members. Keep those fantastic posts coming!
14.01.2022 Day 2 championships - Brooke and Nic We woke up for a 7am breakfast where we then were promptly transported to the Isothermal Community College for the swim leg of our International Competition! We were all chuffed with how well we all swam, with some PB's! We were then rushed to the second ride of the competition with most of us riding lots better than yesterday and being super stoked with the horses we got to ride. We then got to check out the running course that looks ver...y tough. After an exhausting day we are having some dinner before home in readiness for our run tomorrow. Thanks once again to all horse lenders Nic and Brooke. See more

11.01.2022 Tully Watt has every reason to smile after her latest performance.
07.01.2022 Homeward bound: As we wait in Houston Airport for the long flight home, we have had time to reflect on what has been a once in a life time trip. A trip that would have not been possible with out the gracious support of Pony Club Australia. In particular, the amazing support of CEO Catherine and the Pony Club Australia board. On behalf of Erin Kelty and myself, we would like to thank Pony Club Australia for entrusting us with the management of the 2018 Australian PCA Internati...onal Tetrathlon team. They have indeed brought together a wonderful group of pony club athletes, who have made their families, clubs and Australia proud with manner in which they have conducted themselves. They have been respectful and courteous and the horse lenders have loved them for their horsemanship. We would also like to congratulate Tully Watt on her consistent performances over the 3 days to be named individual girls champion which is a first in our international tetrathlon history. All athletes obtained pbs in different disciplines and proved very competitive in the team competitions. International exchange is such an important part of Pony Club and we hope our trip has inspired other to become involved in future exchanges. Please follow the Pony Club Australia page to find out about future exchange opportunities.
02.01.2022 Gee it wasn't that long ago and we were in that arena! How cool and was special memories. I must admit I am surprised that the Lip Sync Battle Winners were not invited to perform!!!!
