15.01.2022 Facebook Account issues: For anyone needing to re-secure their Facebook account due to being locked out, etc; the easiest method is to choose "use another metho...d" and go with the method that allows you to identify several of your friends faces. This is by far the best method, in that you can't call Facebook and quite often the method to get a code sent to your mobile simply doesn't always happen. You are given the option of skipping only 2 friend faces though this should not be a problem if they are actually your friends. The method is not extremely precise in the case of having identical twins on your list, as I have discovered, but, if Facebook thinks it the correct twin, I will go with their data base. See more

10.01.2022 Buyers Beware This article is written with the concept of assisting online consumers seeking to purchase electronic goods, to make the right choice. With the large amount of online store these days and new ones entering into the Australian market, it can be a fun task seeking the best price for a product you wish to purchase, but, can also be misleading and leave the purchaser rather unsatisfied with the chosen product.... The dissatisfaction can be caused by what is referred to as a "grey import". A "grey import" is a product that is sourced from overseas and probably not entirely suitable for your needs within Australia. Here are three real examples that come to mind: Motorola Dual SIM Smart Phone, Samsung Smartwatch & Aldi 65" Smart TV. Bear in mind that some of these examples may even have the same model number, although produced for a different geographical market. The Samsung Smartwatch comes with an app called Samsung Pay, which I guess is self explanatory - you can pay for purchases using the watch. If it is the grey import, Samsung Pay will not work. The Motorola Dual SIM phone has dual SIMs for those that like separate mobile numbers, one for work and one for play/personal use. Again, this will not work if it is the grey import as one SIM slot will be for 2G network, which no longer exists within Australia and hasn't for some time. The Smart TV has no option to connect an ethernet cable to it - nothing in the specs sheet and nothing on the packaging. These are just some examples to give you some idea of the cheaper products on our markets. My guess is that there are many more such products. Some, what I call reputable websites, will give you the full picture. Some websites will not. All must have warranties by Australian law. If you have a warranty claim, some can be pretty tricky to contact! Some tips to perhaps help you when searching for an item are listed below: Before purchase, ensure with the supplier that it will do everything that you want it to do within Australia. Make sure you get all your questions answered. Beware of sites that cross out the RRP (recommended retail price) and show another that is reduced by a significant margin. Beware of "may not be compatible.." written on the items webpages. Beware of the word "sourced" being used for any product. Some major stores will openly state this and will tell you that they do not carry the product and that the product will be sourced. Buy local or buy from the manufacturer direct. Beware of a similar product to the one you want that has significant price difference. Beware of the adds that pop up when searching with your favorite search engine. My thoughts are that laws or regulations need to be updated to better protect consumers with online purchases. Hopefully that day will arrive sooner than later. Anyway, happy online shopping! Feel free to add some of your own tips if you like. www.pceze.com.au

02.01.2022 Microsoft Office 2019 "heads up". Anyone looking at purchasing or upgrading to Microsoft's Office 2019 edition, please be aware that you need to be running Windows 10. The 2019 version will not run on earlier versions of Windows, such as Windows 7, 8 or 8.1. MS Office 2016 will run on all editions of Windows, including Windows 10. MS Office 2016 & 2019 are a one of payment, as opposed to Office 365, which is an annual subscription, just to clarify some detail on the versions.... If you are looking to purchase Office 2016 or 2019, please contact pceze.com.au for a price comparison.
