18.01.2022 Today saw the second opportunity for our Level 1-6 girls to attend a Carnival. Today it was hosted by Ritmix Gymnastics Club and it was great to see the girls back on the floor. Just two weeks till the first Chalienge!! It was an excellent practice run. Thanks Ritmix! Results as follows: Level 1 Bronze!... Mali Isobel Level 1 Silver! Zoe Zoe Umeka Ruby Reet SPARKLE AND SHINE AWARD!! Umeka!! Level 3 Silver! Zara Madeline Caitlin Sienna Level 4 Silver! Mya Level 5 Gold! Emily Summer Level 6 Bronze Yuki (only two routines performed today) Level 6 Gold! Serena The girls all showed improvement after the first Carnival four weeks ago, so that was exactly what we wanted to see. Challenge 1 will be held in two weeks at OUR CLUB! Really looking forward to working hard with the girls to see even more improvements by then. Keep up the great work!! GO ELEGANCE!!!

13.01.2022 Well that was a HUGE day!!! Yesterday we hosted the only 2020 Qld Junior Challenge! After a crazy year of Covid 19, Gyms all over the country being shut down, the evolution of online training, many lonely weeks of our lovely gymnasts training in bedrooms, carports, backyards, family rooms and without the fun and support of catching up with their gymnast friends and then finally a rolled out return to normal training. It’s been hectic, confusing, upsetting, difficult but ul...timately character building. We’ve all come through it a little weary but no doubt more appreciative of our normal gym lives. It was great to get back to a formal Qld Challenge Event! So, now the results!! It was a fantastic event for all involved. A few mistakes here and there, some disasters but MANY triumphs! Again... character building. 13.01.2022 I was running late this morning, having a quick catch up with some parents who needed some information. When I walked into the gym, this is what I found... Every single gymnast on my mat, working hard and warming up without a single person asking them to. Couldn’t be more proud of these kids.

11.01.2022 That’s a wrap on day one of a very delayed comp season for our Level 1-6 gymnasts. This competition was a ranking comp rather than placings, so they girls were aiming to achieve a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award based on their combined performances. Their results were as follows:... Level 1 (First competition for these girls!!!) Zoe - Bronze Ruby - Bronze Reet - Bronze Japreet - Bronze Isabelle - Bronze Umeka - Bronze Level 3 Zara - Silver Level 4 Mya - Silver Level 5 Emily - Silver Qaylah- Silver Summer - Gold Level 6 Serena - Gold There was also a special award called the Glitter and Shine award which was awarded to the best use of Smile and Expression. There was only one awarded in each session and we were able to take out two of them!!! Session 1 - Reet Session 3 - Qaylah Congratulations girls!! Considering how interrupted our preparation has been so far this year, these are great results. Keep up the great work and we look forward to the next Carnival in a few weeks time before the more serious comps start. GO ELEGANCE!!

Even though we are unable to practise our routines its been an opportunity to improve our; Apparatus Difficulty Skill's Body technique... 05.01.2022 Important notice for PCYC Queensland members To our valued PCYC Queensland Members, In line with the recent announcement by Prime Minister Scott Morrison a numb...er of PCYC Queensland activities have temporarily been suspended except for the provision of essential services, some of which have been modified in their service delivery to ensure adherence to the increased social distancing recommendations. Essential services include: Outside School Hours Care ReStart Program Youth Support Service Braking the Cycle External providers leasing space Safer Streets Program Skilling Queenslanders for Work programs Indigenous Sport and Recreation Program Project Booyah All other programs, fitness classes, gyms and activities including Gymnastics are suspended until further notice. Activity fee payments made for term one will be frozen and credits will be given when activities resume. 04.01.2022 RG Online Training is now in it's 3rd Successful week at PCYC Elegance ! Gymnasts are training 5 days per week with a focus on Strength,Body and Apparatus technique!
