24.01.2022 As manufacture declines in Australia, could a product assist with the learning process of design for manufacture? This innovative project by Tomas Frier will be just one of the projects you will see at this year's exhibition. Come along to find out more!

23.01.2022 Here is a very interesting project from one of last years graduates, Joel Benton. "SAAM is a Anthropomorphic Testing Device (ATD) that can be adjusted to the body shapes that represent anthropometric user groups, such as 5th percentile stature Female, as well as 50th and 95th percentile stature Males. This is achieved through components that change the length of the segments (analogous to bones) as well as their the diameter (analogous to muscles/body fat). By doing this, SAAM will give product designers a method of physically representing a target user. SAAM has several mechanical joints that mimic human body joints and allow it to be placed into common human postures." http://pdeinsideout.com.au/2015/Projects/01.html

16.01.2022 Land mines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) currently account for the most deaths, injuries and damage to allied military forces. This electric tactical vehicle project reduces incidents due to roadside bombings as well as dependence on fossil fuel. Another project you will see at this year’s exhibition by Louis Mills. More details at the event.

16.01.2022 As the frequency of natural disasters increases, this UAV has been uniquely designed to go further than conventional drones, aiding search and rescue as well as delivering food and medicine. Come along to the Graduate Exhibition to find out more! Another project you will see at this years exhibition by Nathanael Hunt. More details at the event.

15.01.2022 The largest resource of energy is looking down at us every day.....solar energy. We have the means to capture it, but everyone uses energy in so many different ways that a new solution is needed to store and distribute that energy. One of the projects that will be on show at this years exhibition from Christopher Coller.

11.01.2022 "Bush fires are a danger each and every summer in Australia and with the emergence of climate change the risk is ever increasing. With this increasing risk comes increased need for a way to mitigate it." These units detect the temperature when a bush fire approaches and automatically cover your house with a fire retardant. A life saving design from one of last years graduates, Simon Cumming.... http://pdeinsideout.com.au/2014/17.html

04.01.2022 Like Coffee? Check out this project from one of last years graduates, Alison West. "Typical ‘fresh’ coffee capsules reach their consumer up to nine months after roasting, and have been linked to an increase in leached plasticides. Aussies consume ~3 million per day, filling an Olympic swimming pool with their waste fortnightly. The Baroaster brings coffee culture back to the home, roasting and grinding coffee at the touch of a button. The Baroaster uses green beans, roasting ...them to your particular liking and then grinding according to the brewing method you’re using. The machine roasts from a single serve pod (9g) to a four person plunger (45g), reducing waste inputs and outputs without compromising on quality or flavour." http://pdeinsideout.com.au/2015/Projects/25.html
