17.01.2022 DO YOU HAVE HAY FEVER? | If the answer is yes, please keep an eye on your symptoms. COVID-19 and hay fever share some similarities in the way they present, whic...h means it can be difficult to tell the difference between them. If you have any COVID-19 symptoms (even if you suspect it’s just your first allergy attack of the season), get tested immediately. If the test result is negative and symptoms persist, talk to your GP about a management plan during the pandemic. Find out more about the difference between COVID-19 and hay fever here: https://www.health.nsw.gov.au//frequently-asked-questions.

16.01.2022 This Friday 4 September everyone is allowed to wear their favourite team jersey to school. Football, NRL, Union, AFL, Netball, Basketball, Womens NRL, Womens AFL, whatever team is your favourite, you can wear their jersey. If you don’t have a favourite team then you can wear a coloured shirt, any colour. Please remember to wear regular school pants and shoes. This is not a fundraiser; no money is necessary. We are raising awareness of organ donation and the existence of the Australian Organ Donor Registry. Organ donation can save the lives of many people. Around 1,400 Australians are currently waiting for an organ transplant.

16.01.2022 This information came home as a note today. Please note that our Cross Country/ Community Day will go ahead next Friday 19 June.

16.01.2022 Today is Remembrance Day. We will remember them. Watch the service live at this link https://www.nsw.gov.au/about-nsw/remembrance-day-2020 Originally known as Armistice Day, Remembrance Day is observed on 11 November and marks the signing of the peace agreement between Germany and the Allies that ended the Great War of 1914-1918.... The Second World War began just 21 years later. Almost a million Australians served during that conflict lasted close to six years. Armistice Day was then renamed Remembrance Day. Now Remembrance Day is a day to remember and honour all Australians who have served. See more

09.01.2022 Too much sport is never enough! This morning we had our first session with the gymnastics coaches. Lots of stretching, jumping and moving. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We also did long jump practice, shot put trials and 100m sprints. I’m so proud that everyone had a go and tried their best. Hopefully 16 awesome children sleep well tonight!

08.01.2022 The Department of Education has today recommended that it would be advisable for parents/ guardians to keep their children off social media for the next couple of days. The eSafety Commissioner is following up on reports of a distressing video circulating on social media platforms. The video has hidden content that is not suitable viewing for anyone, let alone children and teenagers. eSafety has contacted social media companies about the reports and will continue working with them to monitor the situation. We are encouraging people who encounter this content to report it to the social media platform they’ve seen it on, or to eSafety at www.esafety.gov.au/report/illegal-harmful-content.

06.01.2022 It’s a beautiful day for tennis... and harvesting carrots.

05.01.2022 NAIDOC 2020 Always Was. Always will Be. The 2020 National NAIDOC Week theme has been developed to shine a focus on the length of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander occupation of Australia. In their narratives Aboriginal people talk of continuous occupation of being here when time began, they are part of the Dreaming past, present and future. Anthropologists and archaeologists have dated their sites to being hundreds of thousands years old, in fact recording some of these sites as being the oldest on this planet.

05.01.2022 It’s Book Fair Week! The books look awesome and today everyone had a look and wrote their wish lists. I’ll have it open from 8:30am in the morning for students to purchase books and knick knacks. Sadly due to covid restrictions parents cannot come on site.

05.01.2022 "Learn as much as you can about the culture and participate." - Aunty Deanna. Each year, NAIDOC Week celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, who are part of some of the oldest continuing cultures on the planet. #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe #NAIDOC2020 *Posted by the NSW Department of Education*

02.01.2022 I’m pretty sure everyone had a great time today making pizza and crazy shakes. Every student demonstrated outstanding listening skills, patience, team work and shared beautifully. Big thanks to Mrs Owens, Miss Gorsky, Haley and Monique for making the day such a success. I hope there aren’t too many sore bellies tonight.
