19.01.2022 The world has gone through a very tumultuous time in 2020. No need to tell you this (but how can WE help)? By supporting small business in your local community, in very meaningful ways, you are making a difference. As the post says below; look for ways you can encourage and review and support local Mandurah and surrounding business, and that will make the world of difference to them. ... Thank you and have a great week !!

17.01.2022 Changes to Telehealth Bulk Billing Arrangements from 01 October 2020 From the 1st October 2020, amendments to telehealth and phone consultation bulk billing arrangements include the removal of the requirement to bulk-bill attendances for certain patients. Medicare has also reduced the Bulk billing incentive... If you choose a telehealth consult this will be privately billed unless you are under the age of 16 or over 65 years of age. As a practice we are unable to sustain the option of bulk billing all patients that choose a telehealth phone consult. .

14.01.2022 CHRISTMAS ! SENDS joy into the heart of kids and grips parents with fear ! From the Empathy Website I thought this sounded very wise ..... Please don't expect... to be perfect: Drop expectations of what you have (or haven't) achieved, your mood, your energy levels, your weight, your finances, how many gifts you bought the kids. It is what it is and I'm sure you are doing your best with what you have. You're allowed to feel like rubbish if you've had a bad year, if you're exhausted or burnt out. And you're allowed to feel good if this year was ok. We've all had a year and we've all reacted differently to 2020. And everybody's reaction is valid. Please don't have expectations of how other people should be reacting Be curious and loving. Let them express their feelings to you. Be that safe space for them to trust you with their vulnerabilities and share yours with them. Christmas itself might look a little bit different this year - fewer people gathering, less travel, fewer gifts, perhaps even people sadly missing from the table. You're allowed to be sad and grieve a lost reality or lost loved ones: still enjoying the small moments of how it is. You're allowed to find joy in the little things. You're allowed to be optimistic for 2021 and be glad 2020 is over. I know I am.

13.01.2022 Only joking we know our lovely PEEL MATERNITY patients would never want to scare small children #mumsofinstagram #mumsofmandurah #winkleberry

10.01.2022 There is always help for you - reach out and ask someone will be there for you.

06.01.2022 Fill this Christmas by being emotionally connected with your family and friends and children and neighbours. Small efforts, little gestures, nurturing appreciation and thankfulness. WE don't need a Maserati or the lates IPhone to be Happy Christmas morning. We do need connection: giving love to someone, helping others, cooking a meal together, cleaning up together, laughing at children, enjoying their joy. It need not be stressful and it need not be expensive. Enjoy your families coming into this Christmas Season all of the Peel Maternity family !!

03.01.2022 As many of you are aware, our wonderful GP Laura Tarrier has left us to return to her family in the UK. Our other lovely GP Natalie will also be leaving us soon, in order to continue with her training. This is going to make it more difficult to ensure that all of our patients can get appointments when needed. We want to reassure all of our loyal patients that we are making some changes to ensure that you have access to appointments and continue to receive the high level of ...care that you are used to. Firstly, we will not be taking on any new adult patients but will continue to take on 12 years and under. We will also be taking on a Paediatric Specialised Nurse, to help Dr Hay care for all of our paediatric patients more information to follow on this as the role evolves! But it is very exciting for the care of our children! We are also seeking new GP staff to join our practice. See more
