The first thing to do is always keep yourself safe these are some suggestions of how you can help : Violence is a crime and the Police encourage you to call if you see an incident in public. If you are unsure about the urgency the responder will determine the urgency of the situation. . . If there are children involved or there ar...e weapons involved, . . If it is safe be a witness for the victim. Make your presence known. If it is safe speak to the person, ask them to stop and tell them you will call the police. Get help from nearby business owners, security guards and others. Support the person who is being abused If it is safe! Ask them if they are okay. Offer to call an Ambulance or Police. Listen to them and if needed, refer them to agencies that can help.
