25.01.2022 ALL-STARS is back for another season, yay! And we couldn't be more excited to be able to offer this program again after the craziness of this year. ALL-STARS is perfect for those in the U12 (born 2010/11) or U14 (born 2008/09) age groups with intermediate to advanced skills who are looking to ready themselves for rep basketball or those who want to play more but don't want to play rep. Including both formats of play, 5x5 AND 3x3 is going to be extremely beneficial to all who take part in this program. 22.01.2022 Our Mornington Basketball - Home of the Mornington Breakers teams head back to court from tonight! re: Spectators At this point of time for the matches held in 2020 there will be no spectators. We will only be allowing a maximum of 3 team staff members per team into the facility. Team staff includes a Coach, Team Manager and Scorer. Mornington Basketball will continue to work with facilities to have spectators return as soon as we can. Team Staff should contact their players ...and arrange where they will meet pre-match. Coaches, Team Managers, Scorers, MDBA Staff and Referee's will be required to sign in via a QR Code every time they enter a Mornington Basketball facility. Junior players are not required to sign in via the QR Code their details are recorded on scoresheet and scoring app. Coach and Team Manager - mandatory volunteer screening (Scorers are not required to obtain a Team Staff Accreditation Pass) All team staff MUST do the following prior to entering a venue: Hold a valid Working with Children Check Update your Working with Children Check to include Mornington District Basketball Association as an organisation you are associated with Register in PlayHQ (link to register is available from your Team Manager) Apply for a Mornington Basketball Team Staff Accreditation Pass Your pass can be collected at either Mornington Basketball Stadium or Mornington Civic Reserve on match day as long as your have pre-registered in PlayHQ, hold a valid Working With Children Check that can be shown to staff and have updated Mornington District Basketball Association as an organisation you are associated with. 07.01.2022 In response to some questions coming through to HQ regarding fixturing; We as a club do not do the fixturing, this comes from the Associations. Whilst we are in the grading phase of the season, there tends not to be games fixtured more than a few days in advance so as to give Associations the chance to move teams around grades as needed. That said, we have noticed, SOME teams at Frankston DO already have games fixtured for this weekend.
