14.01.2022 Our treasurer, Julie, is pictured handing over a cheque for $5,000.00 to the Australian Lions Foundation (ALF) disaster relief appeal for bushfire victims to their chairperson Tony Benbow. The ALF has so far raised approximately $950,000 with around $625,000 distributed throughout fire affected regions to date. Lions are proud of the fact that 100 percent of all donations go directly assisting those in need. They dont take 1 cent out for administration. Thank you to our tiny... community for your ongoing support of our club. Without your support we couldnt do what we do, assisting those in their time of need. If you would like to assist and donate please let us know and we will see that your donation goes to the those that deserve it. Proud to be a Lion. See more

12.01.2022 TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE | PENGUIN CHRISTMAS PARADE The following streets will be closed to vehicles, other than emergency vehicles, on FRIDAY 6 DECEMBER 2019 for the purpose of staging the Penguin Christmas Parade: * Main Road - from east of the junction with Johnsons Beach Road to east of the junction with Dooley Street from 6.30-7.40pm... * Dooley Street - between Main Road and King Edward Street, including the junctions, from 6.30-7.40pm * Arnold Street - between King Edward Street and Main Road, including the junctions, from 6.30-7.40pm * King Edward Street - between Dooley Street and Arnold Street, including the junctions, from 6.30-7.40pm * Main Road - from the turning circle opposite the IGA Supermarket to the eastern railway crossing, from 7.40-8.00pm. NO vehicles are to remain parked in the closed areas.

09.01.2022 Emu Bay Lions Book Fair 2020 Due to Covid considerations, this year our book fair will be by appointment only. We have our usual amazing range of quality books... available at our usual venue (Old Catholic Primary school off Fleming Court in Burnie). If you are interested in coming to purchase books, please contact us by SMS (message) on 0409 946 647 or 0400 966 138. Please leave a name and number and we will get back in touch with you to arrange a time. Times are likely to be on a Wednesday afternoon or a weekend time depending on demand. Prices remain the same: $1 per 2 cm. We have our collectible section (individually priced) and premium books ($5 each).
