20.01.2022 *looks guiltily at the camera* Jax and Lola are similar to us when we see a box of Favourites Chocolates - no self control. Jax the lab demolished the entire box almost by himself, he gave Lola just one Picnic. Theyre feeling a bit sad and sorry for themselves since we broke the news to them that dogs cant have chocolate (or plastic!), and we induced vomiting. Well, they wont be doing that again in a hurry

20.01.2022 Our clients' health and the wellbeing of our staff is top priority, therefore we have some requests for your visit to Peninsula Vet Surgery. - We have changed the way we book appointments so that we reduce the number of people in the waiting room at any given time. Please ensure that you arrive on time for your appointment to further avoid a backlog of patients. - We ask that if you are feeling unwell to refrain from coming in. Please call us and we can discuss with you how w...e can help. The same policy applies to our staff. - Please use the hand sanitizer supplied to you by our staff at reception. - Please keep at least 1m distance from other clients and our staff while at the clinic. - Our staff will be avoiding physical touch, and may ask another team member to assist in restraining your pet to avoid close contact with you. - Please thoroughly wash your hands when you return home and avoid touching your face. - We request that you pay with a card instead of cash if possible. We hope these changes, along with the increased hygiene and cleaning protocols we have introduced, will create peace of mind for you to feel comfortable when visiting the clinic. Please call us to discuss any concerns. We look forward to seeing you soon!

18.01.2022 Happy New Year from the team at Peninsula Vet Surgery

17.01.2022 Its Friday the 13th!!! Did you know? In the ancient world, Egyptians worshiped a cat goddess named Bast, or Bastet. ... As both the goddess of protection and cats, she was often depicted as a black cat. . Also, giving a black cat to a bride in the English Midlands is considered good luck. Sailors and fisherman's wives historically have revered black cats. If sailors needed a cat on their ship to hunt mice, they preferred it to be black, for good luck. The wives would own black cats in hopes that it would bring good luck for their husbands while they were away. In honour of these superstition causing moggies, show us your black cats!

16.01.2022 "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them."

Ling Ling came to visit us for a health check after spending the last 9 months on a solo trip exploring the Peninsula and beyond His adventure started in Kippa-Ring, and ended all the way across the bridge in Brighton. His owner missed him so much, and was extremely grateful to receive the call that he had been found safely, living in a caravan park! He is now happily back home, and I dont think hes too keen on another solo trip..
