24.01.2022 CORONA VIRUS Attention all Raiders. You may have heard of this virus going around that is causing all sorts of mayhem. NBA, Grand Prix, One Day Cricket and potentially the AFL are all affected on a grand scale.... Many sporting clubs are instigating safety practices and the Raiders are now also joining that list. All kinds of chaos! Attached: 10 Ways to Avoid Corona Virus flyer All players, members & volunteers, All players MUST bring their own personal drink bottles to training from now on. Bottles should be clearly marked with the players name to avoid any possibility of confusion. Sharing of drink bottles is NOT PERMITTED. Do not come to training if you are unwell. Avoid handshakes. 11.01.2022 UPDATE from AFLVM (In short the season is postponed till 1 June 2020) RAIDERS we will be having a committee meeting tomorrow night after this we will communicate with you all as to where too from here.... Please all stay safe look after yourselves and your families. FRON AFL &AFLVM The health and well-being of fans, players, umpires, officials, partners, volunteers and communities has been our number one priority. We are determined to be part of the whole of community response to slow this COVID-19 virus down and in doing so, help the broader community and our health systems to cope. Following a series of meetings over the last number of days involving the AFL and all State and Territory CEOs, recommendations have been made in relation to Community football. Consistent with the decision yesterday in relation to State League football and the national and state talent programs, all AFL and AFL State association managed or operated leagues along with the NAB AFL Auskick Centres programs currently operating or set to begin, will be postponed until 31st May 2020. The AFL is also strongly recommending that independently governed junior and senior leagues and associations postpone the commencement and/or operation of their leagues/associations until the same date. This decision and recommendation covers AFL community matches, AFL community training sessions and face to face AFL, WAFC and SANFL education courses. Given the current climate of uncertainty and complexity, we felt it was best for our AFL community to take decisive action now. The recommendation was collectively agreed upon based on the nature of shared public facilities across community football clubs and the health and safety of our volunteer network. The AFL and AFL State and Territory Associations are committed to supporting community football during this time. We are a game, but we are not the main game. The main game is looking after the community and that is the clear priority for everyone at the moment. For football families like all families. It is paramount that support and engagement in community football continues during these times. It is vital players, coaches, administrators, supporters, sponsors, volunteers and kids retain close links to their local clubs, Auskick Centres and wider league network. The AFL will continue to meet with state and territory associations in relation to community football and will continually review this decision based on the changing circumstances and advice from government and relevant health departments and medical experts. We will communicate any updates and provide advice in a timely manner. Football has had many challenges and despite the size of this one, football will find a way through.

09.01.2022 Good Morning Raiders, As you are aware we held a COVID-19 committee meeting last night to implement a base plan for the coming months. As I am sure you can all appreciate this is a changing environment. We will ensure you are all updated regularly.Below is where we are at currently; 1. At this point in time the AFLMV has suspended any games and training activities until 30 May. We will communicate regularly with the league and update you all as to when training can reco...mmence and when or if the season will commence. 2. Current social events have been placed on hold and this will be reassessed once we have a clearer picture in the coming weeks. 3. Membership fees are on hold, I note to members who have paid up our Treasurer Glenn will contact you all to discuss options. 4. Apparel- Current apparel ordered will be available as soon as it is received. Rossco will be communicating this with all members who have ordered gear to date. 5. Welfare- Gabe will be contacting all members via our media platforms to update you all and also offer support to those members who require it. Please feel free to contact Gabe Mauerhofer and Travis Reints if you want or need to. 6. Keeping Active, we are all aware that due to not be able to train many people may not set time aside to stay active. Chat to your coaches on what you can continue to work on whilst we cannot train together, the new season start is only 12 weeks away. For your physical & mental wellbeing go for a run or kick the footy. If you need a footy please contact me as we have a few we can lend out. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the committee for their support. The executive will meet regularly and will update you all when we have any information. We are very fortunate that we are in a positive financial position moving forward and the impact on the club will be minimal. To our trainers (Sarah, Paula, Olivia & Baylie) we understand that this is also a job for you all and we appreciate your understanding, and look forward to seeing you all at the club once this is over. To all our members thanks for your understanding and support during this often frustrating time. As a club we are fortunate to have strong and positive leaders in our coaches and committee. Take care of your families and yourselves and I look forward to starting training as soon as it is possible. Regards Michael Dillon President
