25.01.2022 We complete understand why Skull Rock in Visit Gippsland is included in one of the 8 natural wonders of Victoria to visit by Concrete Playground Melbourne. It is a highlight of our Wilsons Promontory Cruise and well worth putting on the bucket list.

25.01.2022 These dolphins just chilling out in the calm waters surrounding Bruny Island will help ease you through hump day. It seems all of us are enjoying this week's spring weather. Thanks for sharing Matthew. Credit: www.facebook.com/MatthewTaylorHarcourtsSignature/

25.01.2022 Hey mum! Give me some! Pretty please. South Bruny Island has a thriving population of rare white wallabies. Their unusual colouring is thanks to a recessive gene emerging in the local island population and makes them easy to spot. A highlight of our Bruny Island Traveller tour is to search for these cuties on our private reserve. ... Credit: www.instagram.com/ratfink711

25.01.2022 Some humpback acrobatics for your viewing pleasure, captured by crew member Jamie on our Bruny Island Cruise.

24.01.2022 These two look like they are pretty happy to be out and about cruising the waters of the Tasman Peninsula. They both seem to have smiles on their faces. Maybe they are happy to be getting a guernsey on social media amongst the whale spam we have featured this week. A wonderful pic from Ange on our Tasman Island Cruise from Port Arthur.

24.01.2022 Three orcas were spotted on today's Tasman Island Cruise from Port Arthur. Also known as killer whales, orcas are the largest of the oceanic dolphin family and are super smart, making them the ultimate marine predator. A truly spectacular sight. Thanks to crew Ange and Kane for the images. Hobart & Beyond Discover Tasmania

23.01.2022 With your eagle eye, what can you see? A regular highlight on our Wilsons Promontory Cruise is spotting the majestic white bellied sea eagle on its awesome nest high on the rugged granite cliffs. Thanks skipper Dave for the pic.

23.01.2022 We are loving this spring weather, giving us the perfect opportunity to sit out on the deck at our Bruny Island restaurant and take in the stunning views of Adventure Bay. Hmmm what to choose - Ken's famous pumpkin soup or the crowd favourite, blue eye, chips and salad? They all work for filling the tummy after cruising the Bruny Island coastline. Thanks for sharing your meal Suwani. Credit: Suwani Samaratunga

22.01.2022 Apologies for the whale spam from today’s Tasman Island Cruise but when footage is this good, you have to share it. This humpback was definitely enjoying the Tasman Peninsula coastline. Credit: www.instagram.com/emmalmatthews_

22.01.2022 Well hello there! Looks like someone was pretty interested in what was happening at the back of Schouten Passage II on our Wineglass Bay Cruise today. Great capture captain @mattdecandia

22.01.2022 Yippee it's Friday! Who's got plans for the weekend? Maybe a show like this one. Marcus Saunders grabbed a picture of these show offs on our Bruny Island Cruise. Credit: www.instagram.com/marcus_saunders

21.01.2022 It's spring time and we love seeing the coastal wildlife babies. Pictured here is a long nose fur seal pup suckling its mum on the comfy rocks of the Tasman Peninsula. Thanks to crew member Ange for grabbing this pic on our Tasman Island Cruise.

21.01.2022 You know it’s going to be a great day when you encounter a super pod of more than one thousand dolphins. Just seeing one of these acrobats puts a smile on your face. Check out this spectacular jump with the rugged cliffs of the Tasman Peninsula in the background. A great pic from crew member @timcunna from our Tasman Island Cruise. #hobartandbeyond #tasmanpeninsula #pennicottjourneys #pennicottwildernessjourneys #tasmanregion #yellowboatroad #tasmaniagram #tasmania #seeaustralia #discovertasmania #tassiestyle #holidayherethisyear #comedownforair #dolphins #naturephotography #adventure

20.01.2022 I think we might be in for some whale spam this week. Our Wineglass Bay Cruises guests were followed by these curious gentle giants today and we are very jealous. Don’t you just love Spring? Great camera work Noah.

20.01.2022 Check out those blues and just a wisp of cloud in the sky over the beautiful granite coastline of Freycinet Peninsula. Freycinet National Park is a very special corner of Tasmania which we love exploring on our Wineglass Bay Cruise. Those turquoise waters certainly inspire you to dip your toe in. Thanks for sharing this gorgeous pic Monte. Credit: www.instagram.com/monte.bovill

20.01.2022 Some awesome close ups of inside a humpback’s mouth while it was feeding were captured by @moltmania on our Tasman Island Cruise. What a wonderful opportunity to see the baleen whale filtration system firsthand. Humpback whales feed on krill and small schooling fish caught by open mouth lunges. The resultant mouthful of water is expelled through baleen plates, trapping the prey items before swallowing. #pennicottjourneys #pennicottwildernessjourneys

20.01.2022 This stunning nook and cranny is along the coastline just south of Hobart at Tinderbox. You don't need to go far to see Tassie's stunning wilderness when you are travelling along Hobart's River Derwent. This gulch is a combination of dolerite in the base and sandstone at the back. Look closely and you can see a myriad of colours showcasing nature's art palette. Credit: www.instagram.com/kps_s_adventure

18.01.2022 We are super excited to be recommencing our Wilsons Promontory Cruises in Visit Gippsland on Saturday, with our first cruise at 11am. Fingers crossed it is perfect timing for some amazing whale sightings just like this one from 2019. It's hard to believe it was just one year ago we launched this amazing experience in Wilsons Promontory National Park. What a year it has been for everyone. We look forward to blowing off the cobwebs and exploring this very special place. Credit: www.instagram.com.au/reisweltebehrens

17.01.2022 There is going to be quite a few whale pics shared this week as we have had amazing sightings across our Tassie cruises - from a pod of 30 humpbacks feeding on our Wineglass Bay Cruise to humpbacks at Tasman Island and southern right whales at Bruny Island. Not to forget some playful humpbacks at Bruny Island perfectly captured here by @scottgelston We love this time of the year on the water. #pennicottwildernessjourneys #pennicottjourneys #yellowboatroad #adventure #naturephotography #whales #makeyourselfathome #seeaustralia #tassiestyle #comedownforair #marinewildlifetourism

16.01.2022 Look who we found showing off in the waters outside Wineglass Bay on today’s Wineglass Bay Cruise. Thanks Captain Matt for sharing, although we are just a little jealous. #pennicottjourneys #pennicottwildernessjourneys #yellowboatroad #humpbackwhale #whales #colesbaytasmania #wineglassbay #wineglassbaycruises #tasmania #tasmaniagram #greateasterndrive #tassiestyle #makeyourselfathome #holidayherethisyear #naturephotography #adventure

15.01.2022 We all get a little bit excited when we see an orca on one of our cruises. Crew member Lily has worked with us for five years and yesterday was her first encounter with these amazing animals (nature's super predator). Guests on our Tasman Island Cruise were treated to a sighting of a family group of orcas travelling with at least one calf.

15.01.2022 A beautiful day for whale watching at Wineglass Bay today with a couple of humpbacks hanging out with our Wineglass Bay Cruises guests as lunch was served. Great capture skipper Matt.

15.01.2022 Now that’s synergy. I reckon there would have been lots of oohs and aahs on this Bruny Island Cruise today. What a great video by crew member Sam.

14.01.2022 Crew member Jamie took so many great shots of a playful humpback on our Bruny Island Cruise that we didn’t know which one to share, so here a just a few. Which one is your favourite? #pennicottjourneys #pennicottwildernessjourneys

14.01.2022 Our special Bruny Island circumnavigation cruises have let guests see our favourite island from a whole different perspective. James has perfectly framed Cape Bruny Lighthouse at the southern tip of Bruny Island through the rugged cliffs on the eastern side of Lighthouse Bay. Credit: @james_stone_photography

13.01.2022 What a great weekend to look for whales and other amazing coastal wildlife. This footage was captured on our Wineglass Bay Cruise yesterday. Our cruises at Wilsons Promontory, Bruny Island and Tasman Peninsula will be on the lookout too. Credit: Noah Pennicott

13.01.2022 We can't get enough of this mum and bub playing in the waters off Wineglass Bay. They are enjoying a good feed in these nutrient rich waters as they head south. Good spotting by Skipper Richard on our Wineglass Bay Cruises.

10.01.2022 Hello up there! Don't forget to look up when you are cruising the gorgeous Wilsons Promontory coastline. You might spot this friendly local keeping an eye on activities. Jean-pierre Ronco captured this beautiful shot whilst on our Wilsons Promontory Cruise in @visitgippsland The white bellied sea eagle is almost as large as the wedge tailed eagle, but the sea-eagle is readily distinguished by its contrasting crisp-white and ashy-grey plumage, which adds to its striking appearance as it soars effortlessly on broad wings.

10.01.2022 We see two species of Bottlenose dolphins off the Tasman Peninsula - Tursiops truncatus - a larger, darker and generally more social and acrobatic dolphin but over the winter months we have mainly been seeing the smaller and shyer Tursiops australis or Burrunan Bottlenose dolphin. Yesterday they were in a more playful mood and were bow riding our yellow boat around Cape Hauy on our Tasman Island Cruise. Credit: Ange Anderson

10.01.2022 Even our furry friends are excited we are back on the water at Wilsons Promontory in @visitgippsland This fella is very relaxed as he takes in the activities at Norman Beach. Thanks to team member Tara for the video. What a great day at The Prom!

10.01.2022 To give you a break from our whale spam, enjoy this amazing video of hundreds or thousands of short-tailed shearwaters which have just arrived after their 15000 km journey from the Bering sea in the Arctic circle. They come to Tasmania in their millions to feed through the summer and raise a chick. A beautiful video from Bruny Island Cruises crew member Luke Thomas.

10.01.2022 Sitting pretty in the River Derwent, the Iron Pot Lighthouse is always a welcome sight to our yellow boat guests travelling Hobart's waterways. This lovely video of Australia's oldest lighthouse was taken as we cruised from Hobart to Bruny Island. Credit: www.instagram.com/annelouisegrace

10.01.2022 We featured one of Caitlin's awesome humpback acrobatic action shots from our Tasman Island Cruise yesterday but we just had to share a few more. Don't they take your breath away? Credit: www.instagram.com/catiej92

09.01.2022 Now that's what you call perfect social distancing at the southernmost tip of Bruny Island. These Australian fur seals hang out at the The Friars and know a thing or two about looking after themselves. Well done guys!! Great pic @samgraudins from our Bruny Island Cruise from Adventure Bay.

08.01.2022 Hippolyte Rocks is an impressive granite island, with cliffs soaring 65 metres high. Part of the Tasman Island Group, it has been been the site for many of the awesome whale encounters we have experienced this season, with its surrounding waters abundant in food. A wonderful image captured by Alex on our Tasman Island Cruise. Credit: www.instagram.com/alexdwheeler

06.01.2022 Just breathe. And take in these gorgeous colours and the simple stillness of the waters of @hobartandbeyond on our cruise from Hobart to Bruny Island. How lucky is this dolphin to have these waterways as its playground? Credit: www. instagram.com/kelbel__27

06.01.2022 Look what we spotted on today's Tasman Island Cruise from Port Arthur. That is one very big humpback fin waving at our guests. A great start to the Tassie school holidays. Well done to crew member Yani for the terrific video.

06.01.2022 Doesn't this picture just take your breath away? A glorious sight for guests on our Tasman Island Cruise with this humpback checking out our yellow boat as we idle in the waters off the Tasman Peninsula. A magnificent shot from @montebovillmedia

05.01.2022 Sunlight shining on the Candlestick at Cape Hauy gives the appearance of gold within the dolerite sea stack. Maybe that's what attracts the rock climbers that we sometimes spot on our Tasman Island Cruise. Credit: www.instagram.com/georgieblakephotos

05.01.2022 Bruny Island's Breathing Rock was putting on a show yesterday. Spouting water every minute, this is what we call nature's fireworks. It is well worth sitting up the front to catch the action on our Bruny Island Cruise. Thanks for the awesome vid crew member Sam.

05.01.2022 Our guests and crew from today’s Wineglass Bay Cruise were buzzing with excitement at seeing around 15 whales. I think the cruise may have been a little late returning. It is hard to tear yourself away from some such majestic animals. That’s for the pics Captain Matt.

04.01.2022 A spectacular humpback action shot from Caitlin on our Tasman Island Cruise on the weekend. Our yellow boat team continue to be amazed at the whale activity being seen along the east coast of Tasmania. Thanks for sharing Caitlin. Credit: www.instagram.com/catiej92

03.01.2022 What an awesome image of Rodondo Island, with marshmallow like cloud clinging to the top of its 200 metre high cliffs. Isn't it amazing that Rodondo lies in Bass Strait and is part of Tasmania, yet is just 10kms south of Wilsons Promontory in @visit Gippsland This beautiful pic was taken by Jean-Pierre Ronco on our Wilsons Promontory Cruise.

02.01.2022 No Netflix required, we could just watch this for hours. This humpback is having a lovely time along the Freycinet Peninsula. And we can understand why, this pink granite coastline is surely one of the prettiest in Tasmania. Credit: www.instagram.com/claireabelle_deane

02.01.2022 Look who popped in for a visit on our Wineglass Bay Cruise. Guests were treated to plenty of humpback whale tail action just outside of Wineglass Bay. Great pics Captain Matt.

01.01.2022 Who's up for a refreshing dip in the beautiful waters off Wilsons Promontory? This guy certainly makes it look inviting. Wilsons Promontory Marine National Park is abundant with coastal wildlife including thousands of Australian and New Zealand fur seals which we get to hang out with on our Wilsons Promontory Cruise.... Thanks for the pic Jean-Pierre Ronco

01.01.2022 This humpback is making the most of the calm waters at the base of Cape Pillar on the Tasman Peninsula to enjoy a feed. A beautiful pic from crew member Ange from our Tasman Island Cruise at Port Arthur.

01.01.2022 So many wonderful whale pics from Tasman Island Cruises crew member Ange - we couldn't choose just one. These have been taken over the past few days on our yellow boat cruise from Port Arthur. Check out the amazing detail in the close up image of the humpback whale's mouth, highlighting the awesome baleen filtering system these magnificent creatures have. To use baleen, the whale first opens its mouth underwater to take in water. The whale then pushes the water out, and animals such as krill are filtered by the baleen and remain as a food source for the whale.

01.01.2022 We have had some amazing whale sightings this week on our cruises in Tasmania and Victoria as the humpbacks are starting to make their way south. This whale was feeding right beneath our Tasman Island Cruises guests today. Definitely a "best job in the world" kind of day. Beautiful pic crew member Tim. Credit: www.instagram.com/timcunna
