23.01.2022 Around 5 years ago, my friend Yenn Purkis Neurodiversity page was super excited to be speaking in the same event as Temple Grandin and Laser Beak Man in Melbourne. I live tweeted the event from the front row. I'm delighted to announce that in just over 3 weeks time, I'll be one of the many speakers at Thriving Now Clinic's Neurodiversity at Work symposium - alongside Temple Grandin, Yenn Purkis, Chloe Hayden and many others. Two advantages of COVID-19:... * The event is on Zoom, so you can tune in from anywhere in the world. * The registration cost is much cheaper than last year. (And no travel and accommodation costs either!) More information & registration: https://www.thrivingnow.com.au//neurodiversity-work-creati
19.01.2022 Last Friday, I listened to some of The I CAN Network's virtual AWEtism expo. The majority of sessions are available to be watched up until 20 December 2020. I'll be catching up on other talks and panels after my Semester 2 teaching commitments have finished. 11.01.2022 Look what Autistic Professor made for me and Yellow Ladybugs, Autistic Girls & Women. I would have loved to know other autistics when I was a newly diagnosed teen. Instead, I share my story so autistic kids growing up today have what Autistic Professor and I (Autistic lecturer) didn't when we were growing up - identity and a community that gets us, and a sense of belonging.
09.01.2022 My friend Jacci Pillar is in Melbourne Fringe with their comedy show. All events are online. I've purchased a ticket to watch the show tonight (Sun 22 Nov). This show was going to be in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in March, before COVID-19 caused the event to the cancelled a couple of weeks out. Now there's been time to revamp it for an online event.... https://melbournefringe.com.au/ev/tardy-ready-and-disabled/
