Penrith-based company Baker Group will carry out the stage one rehabilitation works. The 47ha site will create 4,000 permanent jobs on completion and will provide an extension to the Great River Walk along Nepean River.

05.01.2022 The $24 million upgrade of the Regatta Park reached another crucial milestone this week as the detailed designs were endorsed by Council. The park will feature picnic spaces, river terraces and two playgrounds for children with expansive views of the Nepean River. Councils long-held plans to maximise the potential of Regatta Park will give a further boost to this well-loved part of Penrith which is already complemented by the popular Yandhai Nepean Crossing, the expanding east bank dining precinct and the redevelopment of Emu Hall. Construction is expected to begin in early 2021 with completion by 2022.
