22.01.2022 Did you know? Released within the Future of Financial Advice Reforms were a number of Standards designed to uplift the level of education for new and existing advisers. This led to the creation of the FASEA Standards Authority who would prepare and deliver these outcomes. A key part of the released standards was the requirement for Existing Advisers to have passed an exam prior to Jan 1 2021. The exam tests expertise in the areas of the Corporations Act, Technical Knowledge a...nd Ethics. The first sittings of this exam were held at the end of June with the first tranche having 900 participants, including our Team. Today we have been provided the outcomes from the exam sitting and we are pleased to let our community know that we achieved great success. Please join us in celebrating this achievement.

20.01.2022 The Grafton Jacaranda Festival has kicked off and Matt has been getting social. Last night he and his Wife Jody attended the Caringa Australia Jacaranda Ball where over 500 people were treated to a special night. Matt attended as part of his formal duties he performs as a volunteer Board Member for Caringa Australia.... Caringa Australia provides disability services and does an amazing job in the North Coast community to help their clients live a complete life. Heres a couple of photos Matt has taken of the spectacular event.

14.01.2022 This week the Pentagon Wealth Team attended Sawtell for some time together sharing how grateful we have all been with the support shown from our clients and communities, and to brainstorm on how we can continue to develop our high quality, intimate advice service. 13.01.2022 The new Grafton Bridge is almost open, Matt and his Family attended the community day Yesterday to be one of the first (and few) people who were able to walk across. It offers an amazing view of the old bridge which is now 87 years old. Wonderful to see our east coast regions evolving and growing.

06.01.2022 Wowsers, what a week! The market has had such a good run we almost forgot what volatility was like! Its a great opportunity to revisit how to keep the focus in volatile times. Our tips- 1. Focus on what matters (friends, family, retirement)... 2. Think long term, volatility subsides (remember the Greek debt crisis or the China market crash?) 3. No knee jerk reactions! volatility causes a price change, not a loss, selling causes the loss. 4. Get some perspective, the share market is still up around 15% from the start of Jan 2019 5. Most portfolios arent wholly exposed to Aussie shares and wont experience anything like what youre hearing on the news. 6. 02.01.2022 We wanted to a share a news clip showing Todd Cockshutts daughter, Alani. Alani was diagnosed with Leukeamia at age 4 and now 11 years later she is strong young woman with big goals. As we watched the clip it was easy to draw parallels between the discipline and focus Alani applies to chasing her goals, and the discipline and focus needed to pursue other lifestyle and financial goals. 01.01.2022 Today we wish Todds 16yr old Super Daughter Alani Cockshutt and her friends good luck in their goal to ride 2200klm (12-14hrs ) with a total elevation of Mount Everest (8848m). Theyre currently underway in their virtual ride to raise much needed funds to support kids going through a pretty tough time.
