25.01.2022 I went for an amazing walk along the beach today. Well I walk past three of them and then back again! It was so lovely and the weather was perfect. If you saw my stories from earlier today you would have seen the amazing colour of the water It prompted me to post an image of a coastal inspired living room we styled a while ago. I love a lot of the pieces in the space especially the beautiful buffet. I hope you all had a great weekend and took advantage of this great weather and the loosening of restrictions in NSW. I hope you all kept your distance from people though!

24.01.2022 Considering the current climate with COVID-19, Peony and Silk have strengthened our procedures to keep both staff and clients safe. As of today the following will be implemented, * Increased hygiene procedures before, during and after installs and removals. Hand sanitiser, soap and gloves are available and will be used while in properties.... *As our standard procedure, all furniture surfaces will be cleaned after install and before removal. In addition to this we will now be spraying our upholstered furniture and bedding with a spray disinfectant. * We will kindly ask that home owners not be present during our installs or removals. This is to promote the idea of social distancing and reduce social contact. * If possible all quotes will be preformed using a combination of floor plans, photos and video. Live video options such as FaceTime, WhatsApp and Skype are also being considered and explored. We thank you for your understanding.

21.01.2022 Another day, another bed shot I am totally blaming the colder weather and the fact that Im in my pjs by 6 every evening We installed this last year when we were lucky enough to be involved with a display home styling project. The day we did this property it was seriously like The Block. Way to many trades still on site along with our team. We all managed to finish though and the two houses were open in the display village the following day!

05.01.2022 Throw back to when we were all able to travel . Last year (seems so long ago!) I was lucky enough to go overseas for two buying trips. This was in Bali and I bought quite a haul from this supplier and had it imported . Until we are able to travel again, I am holding on to those very dear memories. 05.01.2022 Sometimes we are under instruction not to hang artwork in a room. It’s not an unusual request especially in new builds but we always do try and encourage owner to let us use art for two reasons. The first is that art can make an incredible impact when entering a room and secondly, where we place the artwork is often the beat place for the new owners to hang a piece themselves. . In this space we used a plant in the corner to create some height and impact. 05.01.2022 There is something so classic about a monochrome palette. On this install we included a bit of blue in a mainly black and white theme. It is always a great option when you have a wall colour that you arent quite sure what colour to introduce. We also really like working with black accessories. It always looks amazing!

Although things like task lighting and functionality is super important, having a space that you like being in is equally so! ... . My top tips? * clean and tidy with no clutter * a comfortable chair * good lighting * fresh air * a comfy occasional chair for screen free reading and studying It has been such a difficult year for year 12 students in 2020.
