This is despite the fact that we are leading the nation (and much of the... world) in COVID-19 testing. SA Pathology is the only pathology service equipped to deal with a pandemic private operators aren’t equipped to perform a large number of complex tests. They mostly focus on the more profitable tests because they are in it for the money, not the public good.
