03.01.2022 / STAR ANISE / This beautifully fragrant star shaped seed pod is from the Illicium verum, a medium-sized evergreen tree native to northeast Vietnam and southwest China. The history of the Star anise dates back to 100 B.C & is used in traditional oriental medicine as a digestive aid, cure for colic and other digestive disorders.
