01.01.2022 I get asked quite often if I can check out my turbo that I just purchased Most of the time my answer is no. To do it correctly I have to remove the end housings, jig it up to measure the radial ( up and down) shaft deflection and the axial ( in and out) thrust deflection. Visually inspect the wheels for damage then perform a cartridge balance assesment, followed by a seal leakage test... This all takes a couple of hours to do properly and unless you are willing to pay for this service it is a case of buyer beware. Ebay is cheap for a reason people
