21.01.2022 Be prepared - the WA sprinkler switch-off is approaching. A permanent winter sprinkler ban applies to all scheme and bore water users in Perth, Mandurah and som...e parts of the South West, from 1 June to 31 August each year. Hand held watering and maintenance testing of bores is still permitted, but anyone using their sprinklers between June and August risks a $100 fine. A malfunctioning irrigation controller is not an excuse for not complying with the winter ban, so check the settings on your irrigation system especially after a power outage. 12.01.2022 The Winter Sprinkler Switch-off is still in effect in Perth and other parts of WA. If you have a garden bore, you are allowed to flush your system once a week o...n a normal rostered watering day, either before 9am or after 6pm for 2 min per station. A weekly flush will help prevent your bore from seizing after a long period of inactivity. If you need help with your garden bore, contact your local Waterwise Irrigation Professional through the search directory at www.waterwiseprograms.com.au See more

05.01.2022 X-Core - Station Repeats. A common reason for a controller to repeat a cycle is too many programmed start times.

05.01.2022 Have been very busy lately and I don't often get much time to post landscape jobs but this is one of my latest that came up a treat and will look forward to seeing this one flourish in the future.

04.01.2022 Irrigation - Best practice when installing your new lawn. It's so important to install adequate, quality irrigation before installing your new lawn. You will n...eed to design and install an efficient irrigation system. A Waterwise Irrigation Specialist can provide advice on design for DIY, or they can design and install a system for you, to ensure your new lawn will receive the right amount of water on your sprinkler roster day. When installing make sure that your irrigation system has been flushed before attaching sprinkler heads and check the pressure of your water. In some areas scheme water pressure has been restricted, if you are in an area of lower pressure make sure that this is considered when designing your system. Water pressure makes the difference between excellent coverage and poor coverage. It is important to retain uniformity of sprinkler types. Remember to undertake a catch cup test immediately after installation to ensure that 10mm of water is being delivered per watering session. To save water and make it most usable for the plant, don't forget to apply a quality wetting agent such as Aquaforce and soil moisture retainer such as Biagra, before laying your turf. Run times differ for each variety of sprinkler head. Please refer to the recommended run time guide below.
