22.01.2022 VINYL PLANKS vs TIMBER FLOORING Vinyl planks are currently the best flooring product on the market simply because they are trouble and worry-free, unlike all other flooring options. Vinyl planks are a much longer lasting product than laminate, bamboo and timber flooring. But many don't realize it and think wood being a natural product its better which is understandable. It is hard to distinguish the difference between vinyl planks and timber flooring once installed but there... is some big difference between them. Vinyl Planks are waterproof. Wear, scratch, stain and scuff resistant. Easier to clean and maintain. Quieter and softer underfoot. Very easy to replace. There are also a lot more colours to choose from than timber flooring. For example, one natural wood pattern can have many different colour variations. There is no expensive and dusty ongoing upkeep of sanding and sealing with vinyl planks like there is with timber flooring. Vinyl planks don't dent, peck, swell, buckle or warp. To replace timber flooring it requires the removal beading or skirting and boards pulled apart one by one in rows to get to the damage and then put it all back together again. A 10mm gap is required around all perimeters which can cause timber flooring to pull apart and separate. Skirting or beading is required to cover the gap. Skirting or beading is not required with vinyl planks. With timber flooring, most installers cut the base of door frames which can weaken the frames and foundations. Doors may require trimming. Expansion joints are required every 10m which most installers don't do. We replace a lot of damaged timber flooring with vinyl planks. Please think carefully before choosing your flooring. 17.01.2022 RENTAL REJUVENATION/TILE REMOVAL This rental property had previously had ceramic tiles. The owner arranged removal himself. With tile removal please make sure the removalists removes all the tiles and grout from around all the edges including in cupboards and behind doors and in recesses. Make sure all the tile cement residue is completely removed. When choosing a planks for a rental property many owners want cheapest which is 2mm. We recommend modular planks which are 5mm be...cause they are very easy and quick to replace by yourself or by your property manager. If your tenant damage a plank or planks you can charge them to replace them by the plank. We always give spares. The colour of the plank is ZM427 from our range.

06.01.2022 RENTAL FlOORING REVAMP These customers wanted to modernize there rental property between tenants within their current budget. They wanted a grey plank but also one which was good for resale so we suggested our most popular 2mm plank for woman. The colour of the pattern of the plank also had to tie into the dark doors & frames, cabinetry & skirting. But ideally, they would be better if they painted in the future to modernize.
