25.01.2022 2020 The Disability Trust Awards Night - this year it was broadcasted live to participants lounge rooms! Congratulations to all participants who received awards last night! A special congratulations to ... Gina Galaxdis to received the 2020 Music Makers Award! Gina has been apart of the Music Makers for 9 years, so very well deserved! A big congratulations to other Music Makers who also one awards in different categories - - Bailey McGee - Most Valuable Participant - Tiana Fina - Most Dedicated Participant - Grace Collins - Female Camper of The Year A huge congratulations to all participants of Sport & Rec services who have adapted so well to a LOT of changes across not only just programs but their lifestyles with recent events. We know that it seems like things have changed forever but we promise a bit of normality will return soon and we cant wait to see you all and see the fantastic things you all achieve!

23.01.2022 Weve had to cancel Music Makers practices for 8 weeks - everyone was pretty upset about it so weve deceived were going to catch up and check in with each other weekly. Tonight we spent an hour together - we had a fair few technical difficulties trying Facebook messenger but then realising we couldnt have that many people on at once eventually setting up Zoom accounts for video conferencing ..... hopefully next week it will be a bit more simpler and we may even be able t...o practice our dances together..... in the mean time we will have to practice at home! There is lots of negativity around at the moment - we need to do all we can to not dwell on that and look at the positives... If there is a will, there is a way... tonight we were suppose to be learning another dance for our upcoming concert that is now not going ahead when planned but instead we caught up, chatted & laughed!

21.01.2022 Important Notice - OUR CONCERT IS POSTPONED! Its with much disappointment that I need to inform you all that our 2020 Creative Performance will NOT be going ahead. The Corona Virus (COVID-19) situation is dramatically increasing and constantly changing, presenting lots of challenges for everyone. ... If you have already purchased show tickets you will be refunded. If you have bought a raffle ticket or youre interesting in buying a raffle ticket its okay and please do as we will still be selling raffle tickets and chocolates to raise funds for our rescheduled show! Im using social media as a way to inform as many people involved as I can quickly but will be dedicating time tomorrow to contact those who have been booked for equipment, entertainment, have purchased tickets and so fourth. Please know this wasnt a decision made easily and has been done with all intentions to keep everyone safe. We apologise for any inconvenience and upset.

19.01.2022 A fun night in the heat at Music Makers tonight - it was nice to have some fun and do something different this time of the year we’re usually very busy in the midst of end of year celebrations and Christmas concerts... a fun night with lots of laughs seeing everyone dressed up in different outfits, accessories and crazy socks!

18.01.2022 We’re missing heading up to Sydney Special Childrens Christmas Party this year and stopping in at DOOLEYS Clubs for lunch on the way home - it’s been a highlight to our year for many years now!

17.01.2022 We are back! It was so lovely to see everyone and have the opportunity to get back dancing - lots of changes and new COVID safe practices in place but were back doing what we love and having fun.

17.01.2022 A big HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all of our Music Maker Dads! The fathers of our Music Makers but also those who our Music Makers Crew who are / act like fathers. They go above and beyond, treating all Music Makers with care, love & support. A big thank you to those fathers who work so hard- giving up their time in the lead up and at Music Maker productions and performances behind the scenes often doing all the heavy lifting, prop making, set up / pack up and also to those fathers... who make sure their Music Makers can attend lessons and perfomances. **Not all our MM Dads are pictured in this post but all are equally acknowledged!

06.01.2022 We have a busy few weeks ahead with lots of Christmas performances coming up starting this week: Wednesday 4/12- were going on tour travelling up to Sydney to perform at Sydney Special Childrens Christmas Party (Invitation Only) Friday 6/12 - were performing Shellharbour Carols by Candlelight at Reddall Reserve, Lake Illawarra ... Saturday 7/12 - we have The Disability Trusts end of year concert with Sport & Rec participants, families and friends. Sunday 15/12 - were performing at Santa Fest - Wollongong Christmas Carols at Lang Park. Sunday 23/12 - were the half time entertainment for Illawarra Hawks. If youre in the area and want to come support the Music Makers whilst joining in on the Christmas cheer we would love to see you there! Merry Christmas!

03.01.2022 As we start to prepare to wrap things up for 2020 I've received a few phone calls following up from eager future Music Makers and their position on our wait list. Thank you for your patience in waiting to join Music Makers - we've had a wait list for some time but look forward to inviting new participants to join us at the beginning of each year. Over the next few weeks and into early January we will be making contact to have chats with those on the wait list, allocate some... spots and of course move people up on the wait list.
