21.01.2022 A sinister con man, Roat, played by Rachel Kahan , and two ex-convicts, Mike and Carlino, played by Brett Hamilton and Dennis Sing, are about to meet their match. They have traced the location of a mysterious doll, which they are much interested in, to the New York apartment of Sam Hendrix, played by Brenton Foale who also directs this thriller, and his blind wife, Susy, played by Esté Breytenbach. Unbeknownst to Sam and Susy, the doll is filled with illicit drugs, and the... original owner of the doll has been murdered for its contents. The con man and his ex-convicts, through a cleverly constructed deception, convince Susy that the police have implicated Sam in the woman’s murder, and the doll, which she believes is the key to his innocence, is evidence. She refuses to reveal its location, and with the help of a young neighbour, Gloria, played by Sarah-Beth Aldridge, figures out she is the victim of a bizarre charade. When a deadly game of cat and mouse ensues between the Susy and the conmen Susy knows the only way to play fair is by her rules. A Broadway hit, this masterfully constructed thriller moves from one moment of suspense to another as it builds toward an electrifying, breath-stopping final scene. This is what the American publications had to say about Wait Until Dark... WAIT UNTIL DARK is a tense thriller. NY World-Telegram & Sun. Frederick Knott is a master craftsman Women’s Wear Daily.
