STEP is an aerobic fat burner that targets your legs and derrière big time! An added bonus is increasing your daily step count: we average 3000-5000 steps in 30 mins! #steppingismuchmorefunthanwalking If you think you have to be co-ordinated to do STEP, think again. You are taught basic patterns in the first 5 mins and then we keep building on them until we sort of nearly get it right by 30mins If you aren’t having fun and laughing while exercising, then you haven’t exercised with PT by Karen and clients!

We sweat, we make noise, we love our music and we do the best that we can while being respectful and mindful of our fellow exercisers. ... 20.01.2022 Bron, one day after looking at a family photo, decided that she had to make a big decision. That decision led to a huge change in not just physical appearance, but significantly, a turn around in self esteem, confidence and happiness! I can vouch for this! ... When I first met Bron, she had just joined our Studio as a new client and was covered up in a huge tee as if she was hiding from everybody. Bron was very quiet, didn’t really talk much and seemed shy ( like most of our new girls). Little did we know that Bron was slowly going to turn into a firecracker! 16 months later with lots of effort in our exercise classes, a couple of my online TRANSFORMATION programmes and then joining our private Lifting sessions, Bron is now over 20.5kgs lighter and has lost an AMAZING 83cm off her body with 37cm coming off her belly, plus her butt is now half of the size of when she started! I really appreciate that Bron has consented to sharing her story with our Followers as I want to reiterate what I always say...... True transformation of body and emotion takes time. You have to work hard towards the person that you want to be and get rid of the previous you that was making you unhappy in every way. #notadiet Bron took 16 months to reach this point right now. THIS IS NOT THE END OF HER TRANSFORMATION When you have lost a lot of body fat - for some people, a new problem arises. Loose, excess skin. If this is a concern, surgery is definitely an option for some. Quite a few of my clients over the past decades have chosen surgery. We need to get real and talk about this. How we may want surgery but worry that people will talk about us . ( who gives a s*t what some random thinks?! ) How it scares us. eg pain. Financially, can we afford the time off work? Who will be supportive? Will we be happy with the result? Bron is considering surgery and taking the first steps AND she is going to share her story for all of the women who support our business page and wonder about this subject. No amount of exercise,magic cream or whatever other BS is on the market will lift loose skin. 20.01.2022 Recovery is essential! On Tuesday, I taught 4 classes, went for a walk to clear my head, ran 20 mins on the treddy, and practiced some new tracks which resulted in over 26,000 steps taken in exercise. I am not a fan of excessive exercising as it defeats the purpose of achieving your goals. Bodies need recovery time in order to reap benefits both physically and mentally.... On Wed, I took all day off work and slept in and enjoyed resting, eating well and playing with my fur babies in the sunshine. I also begrudgingly cleaned my bathroom. My message to you..... Ensure that you let your body recuperate if you have done a lot of exercise. You won’t put on weight. You won’t lose fitness. You won’t lose purpose. You will feel refreshed. You will be energetic. You will enjoy gainz Do not thrash yourself every day. Enjoy NOT exercising as much as you enjoy exercising Have you achieved balance?.....

Everybody will experience discomfort at some time due to lifestyle restrictions, poor posture, exercise, dehydration and stress just to name a few. ... Some people choose to live in discomfort as they think they cannot make time to look after their body or they are under the assumption that a remedial massage treatment is too expensive. Alisa has been an absolute delight to train as an online TOTAL TRANSFORMATION client for this past 12 weeks! Results: 12.1kg weight loss. ... 69cm body decrease! What makes me really happy is that Alisa is putting into action what she has learnt and has just lost another 1.1kg last week after finishing her programme! From Alisa........ All I can say is thanks for helping me get me back. The 12 week programme was hard at first, but became routine after a few weeks. I am back exercising most days and have my energy levels back, which is essential with my 2 active boys. I really enjoyed the online participation as I am not an in your face person. 13.01.2022 It feels like weeks away from The Studio but it was only a couple of days! Our bellies are very full and we feel a tad sluggish from over indulging BUT it was so relaxing and enjoyable! Don’t think that now you have to smash yourself in exercise as a punishment ... Whether you have had a couple of days off or a couple of weeks off, ease back into moving your body and do some thinking about what you would really like to achieve in January. Yep..... Think about your short term goals FIRST. Examples might be..... to take Magnesium daily drink 2-3L water every day complete a minimum of 10 mins exercise per day read 1 book in a month do some baking once a week cut back on alcohol get a makeover! 08.01.2022 3 DAYS TO GO!! Lauren is proof that CONSISTENT movement can assist in experiencing a healthy, happy pregnancy She is our pregnant pocket rocket! ... The question is, will I see her at The Studio in the next 3 days? #itstime! From Lauren...... I commenced with Karen about 18 months ago primarily as a means to lose weight. I was a full time working mother to three gorgeous boys but was putting in some long hours at work and everything above my own health. I knew something had to change and my own health needed to become a priority, particularly if I was going to keep up with the kids. I started with step classes and eventually built up the confidence to try STRONG NATION, circuits and Lifting sessions. My husband and I knew we wanted another baby, however, I refused to conceive until I lost some weight. So, I joined one of Karen’s 12 week online TOTAL TRANSFORMATION programmes in January and during this, fell pregnant. Karen was extremely discreet and provided appropriate modifications to my programs in the first trimester and has continued to do so until the very end. I am currently going into my 40th week of pregnancy and have been fortunate enough to be still continuing classes due to experienced instructors that have provided a safe environment for me to do so. I am often questioned as to why I am still participating in classes and not at home resting and the reason is I feel amazing and still have great energy levels, which is no doubt due to the exercise. This pregnancy has been far easier than my others and there have been so many benefits, including reduced fluid, minimal back aches, decreased cellulite and an overall positive state of mental health. As for my overall journey with Karen’s Personal Training, I have gained far more than weight loss. I have formed friendships, gained confidence, acquired strength and re-gained a love for exercise while continuing to improve my fitness. I still have a long way to go until I finish meeting my goals, however, I have learnt that consistency is the key to achieving them.

05.01.2022 We have home grown baby tomatoes in abundance atm so I had a crack at making sundried tomatoes ( in the oven, not in the sun, as my fur babies or other creatures that live out here would have delighted in finding them, ha!) Just poured over a nice garlic olive oil, sea salt and cracked pepper. Baked at 100 degrees for about 2.5hrs. ... Very nice to drop into my salads! Thankyou to client, Anna, for the suggestion!

04.01.2022 #epiphany My work life is constant with not only daily physical demand, but also helping with client mindset. When I have a rare break, I usually tend to exercise a lot as it means that I can do it just for myself without thinking about anyone else. ... I just had a wonderful 5 days of NOT running, NOT doing pushups or burpees and NOT doing any type of my usual type of exercise. Instead, I hiked, I relaxed, had the best ever Swedish massage and facial, ate loads of fresh veges, salads and cold pressed juices, slept soundly and really rested my body End result? I feel 10 years younger, my muscles are refreshed and no aching Everybody needs to take a break. I am so happy that I feel refreshed. Am I looking forward to getting back to the Studio? Yep!!
