24.01.2022 END OF YEAR CLUB WINDUP Despite 2020 being tough, Perth Velocity has had a successful year. We'd like to invite our members to come and celebrate everything we have achieved (and say good riddance to 2020) on 22nd November at the Bayswater Bowls Club. We'll be kicking off the event with our House League's season 2 awards, followed by a feed and some barefoot bowls.... It's a family friendly event, so feel free to bring along partners/kids (tickets for kids are free). 17.01.2022 Thanks a lot to everyone who made it along to our end of year windup yesterday, and congratulations again to our award winners. It was great to see so many faces and we hope you all enjoyed the afternoon as much as we did (regardless of which lane your bowls ended up in)! For anyone that's keen to give bowls a go (or to have another go if you came and had a roll Sunday), our friends at the Bayswater Bowling and Recreation Club are also running a super relaxed Wednesday night competition 7-8.30pm for the next 5 weeks (25/11 to 23/12) that sounds like a lot of fun! There's some cool prizes up for grabs each night, and you don't need to make it along every week to participate. If you're interested, just head along to register on the night (it's teams of 3, but they'll hook you up with a team if you don't have one).

14.01.2022 Want to be part of the biggest inline hockey viral video hit of 2020 (in Perth at least)? We wont be holding training/scrimmage on Monday, 3 August, as well be filming a promo video for our House League on that evening. The usual Monday sessions will resume the following Monday, 10 August. We do have capacity for some more volunteers to join us on Monday (3 August) to make sure we have enough players on the court and on the sidelines/in the background - please comment if yo...u are interested in helping us, so we can make sure we dont have too many/too few players in attendance. More info if youre keen: -Arrive at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start on the night. -It wont cost anything to attend, but you need to be a PV club member. Please let us know if you plan to come along! -Please bring your full gear, house league jersey if you have one, your plainest white and/or black jerseys, and a plain t-shirt. -Its being filmed by professional videographers; not Russ with a megaphone and directors chair. -It will primarily be filming scripted sequences, so several takes of certain shots etc (ie not playing a regular game). -You may or may not end up in the video (or might just be in the background), viral fame is not guaranteed.

Ticket sales have been EXTENDED, but for those wanting to play some barefoot bowls on the day, we can only guarantee availability of bowls for tickets bought by midnight tonight (16th). Get on it - check the ticket link in the comments! It'll be a great family-friendly afternoon to get together as a club off the rink, plus we'll be presenting house league awards and getting stuck into some barefoot bowls.
