18.01.2022 Obviously there's no surprises here, but your PADC has made some fairly substantial adjustments to our events schedule over the next few months. The first cab off the rank is the postponement of our next Commune Listen Edition event at Freo.Social on April 23, given the advice of the WA Government and the Australian Department of Health. New dates are still being determined, but will be announced as soon as we can reconvene our crack team of panellists and venue organisers! ...In the meantime, we're working on a few small bits and pieces to help our members manage this unprecedented shift in working and social arrangements - from freelancers and remote agency work to managing client expectations, social distancing and managing isolation. If you'd like to add any resources, suggestions or topics to the discussions we'll be having over the next few weeks, feel free to add them in the comments below or send us a message via the PADC website at https://www.padc.com.au/ For the latest information from the Health Dept, visit https://www.health.gov.au//novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov-hea and please remember to wash those mits and keep safe!

11.01.2022 Some good news for the first weekend of the weirdest week ever, you get it spend it being immersed in the awesome power and creativity of music! With events across the country being cancelled and postponed in a bid to slow the spread of COVID-19, the Aussie live music industry is being hit hard. Isol-Aid is combating this crisis with a two-day live streaming event this weekend.... Heres how it works... From 12 noon to 12 midnight on Saturday 21 March and Sunday 22 March artists "will play a 20-minute set streamed live on their Instagram accounts, and then tag-team the next artist to play, sending fans down a rabbit-hole of new music discovery." Theyll be performing live from wherever theyre practising self-distancing - from bedrooms, bathrooms, studios, anywhere! Viewers who tune in will be encouraged to donate to a fundraiser set up for Support Act, Australias leading organisation that provides relief services for music industry workers facing mental health issues or financial hardship. An Isol-Aid statement adds: "If they are in the financial position to do so, viewers are encouraged to buy music and merch from the artists Bandcamp and Patreon pages, and websites." It all starts on Instagram at 12 midday this Saturday, March 21, with a kickoff from @millylala and @merpiremusic , and runs until midnight on Sunday, March 22. Fill your soul with music in time to (mostly) work back from your kitchen table by Monday!

10.01.2022 And we are ON for tonight's PADC AGM upstairs at the Subi Hotel! See you there! https://wa.campaignbrief.com/padc-agm-postponed-until-mond/
