19.01.2022 Let’s talk about numbing cream..... Does it hurt? Is one of the most common question I get asked. Not really is the short answer as we do use a numbing cream. However the numbing I use at Perth Eyebrow Art is formulated for use on open skin which means I do make a few strokes in the skin without numbing to start. The discomfort is similar to waxing or threading and is perfectly bearable. As soon as the numbing cream goes on you won’t feel a thing for the rest of the tre...atment. Another question I often get asked is why the client has to buy their own anaesthetic? This is because any numbing agent which contains more than 2% lidocaine is considered a scheduled medicine and cosmetic tattoo artists are not permitted to supply or sell scheduled medicines to members of the public. The numbing cream is specially ordered for each client and the pharmacy have a checklist of questions to make sure it is suitable for each individual. Asymmetry in shape is often caused by incorrect shaping or over plucking. Asymmetry in height is mostly caused by having one particularly strong brow muscle. No matter how much you relax your face as soon as you go to speak or move that brow will pop back up. Occasionally this can be helped by training the muscle but that ta...kes time and patience.
