21.01.2022 WA All Abilities Football and WA Football presented an AFL Inclusion clinic at Associated & Catholic Colleges of WA Inclusive sports Day Carnival. The Inclusiv...e Sports Day Carnival is to provide sporting activities that cater to all levels of student ability. The carnival is specifically targeted at students whose disabilities may hinder their inclusion in school-based or inter-school sporting events. Whilst it was a hot day, the spirit of all students and schools involved made the event for staff and support, a huge success. Plenty of smiles all round! #gamestrong #nolimits #indentitychoice

07.01.2022 Hi! - My name is Jake Parrotte and I’m 19 years old. I work at the bike hire shop on Rottnest Island, Western Australia, which I love. I have holidayed there s...ince I was little and enjoy sharing my passion for the Island with our customers. During the footy season, I also work behind the bar at the NORTH BEACH FOOTBALL CLUB, which is a lot of fun. When I’m not at work I am a volunteer with Fishability. I play a lot of sports including basketball, football, beach volleyball, and ten pin bowling. I have represented WA in basketball at the Special Olympics National Games and Ivor Burge Championships. In my spare time, I like going out on our family boat, fishing, kayaking, going to Timezone, and playing on my Xbox. I am looking forward to learning how to use all the filming and editing equipment with Periscope Crew and sharing our stories!!

07.01.2022 MEET THE CREW! Hi - my name is Ben Pieters. I am 19 years old. I went to Sacred Heart College, Sorrento, WA, like most of The Periscope Crew. Now I’m working t...wo days a week at Intelife Group on the clean-up crew. I enjoy making sure our roadsides and parks are safe and clean. I am very passionate about recycling and have my whole family getting into it. They get into trouble if they put things in the wrong bins! I also work at my uncle's Bottle Shop helping with deliveries, and I love chatting to everyone when they come in. I love sport, especially football and I play for the NORTH BEACH FOOTBALL CLUB. This year I was part of Perth Football’s Leagues FITS program that started during Covid19 so we could keep our fitness up through online training sessions. I am a mad West Coast Eagles Supporter. I was lucky enough to be at the 2018 Grand Final when they won, which is a huge highlight in my life. I also do Surf Lifesaving through the Sorrento Dolphins - Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club WA. I love to reading, listen to music, and ride my red 3 wheeler along the coast, and spending time on our boat at Rotto. I am excited to be part of The Periscope Crew. Stay tuned for some great stories!

Integrated Football encourages the inclusion and participation of athletes with an intellectual disability in an AFL competition. The social, emotional and personal growth associated with being part of a team and part of a Club environment is a very positive experience. I'm looking forward to assisting Kelmscott Bulldogs Football Club Inc. with this very worthwhile endeavour. Quite fitting that we should meet on International Day of People with Disability.

02.01.2022 Its full pedal to the metal for Fishability and people with disabilities who like to fish with this fantastic new fishing van. The van will play an important ...role in Fishability promoting inclusive participation in recreational fishing, while helping the groups volunteers get to and from the various jetties where it holds fishing clinics in the south metro area. Recfishwest CEO Dr Andrew Rowland joined Fisheries Minister Peter Tinley AM at Point Walter as Fishability Chairman Mike Donnelly and Executive Officer Mike McMullen were given the keys to a new van. Fishability is a great organisation which does wonderful work, assisting children and adults with the support required to get out and about to wet a line and catch a fish were looking forward to hear about all the fish caught at the upcoming events!
