13.01.2022 An awesome figure of over $80,000 was distributed by the P & C in 2020 to assist the school and students, providing additional resources, facilities and amenities. This is on top of $110,000 in 2019 and $79,000 in 2018. It really shows families what a difference their P & C contributions make to the school and students. This year $78,000 in family contributions was made to the P & C, another very successful year at a time of uncertainty for many families. Read below for ...the complete summary for the year: School Support 2020 Casey Theatre Lighting Upgrade $7,772.64 New Marimba Contribution $10,000 Projector for Dance Studio $3,095 Interactive Panel - Design Tech & Science Engineering $4,700 Student Project Racking Science, Design & Tech $3,636.36 Table Tennis Tables $811.68 Second Gym Floor Refurbishments $11,274 3 x 3D Printers STEAM areas $6,700 Staff Recognition Contribution $500 Drones for Engineering & Photography $7,423 Student Furniture (Ottomans) for Mills $8,902 Christmas Music Scores $399.50 Track/exhibition lighting - Mills (lower) $15,105.80 Total School Support 2020 $80,319.98

10.01.2022 At our meeting last Tuesday night the P&C approved our final item of support for 2020 new track /exhibition lighting for the Mills lower area, for $15,105.90. This area is used to display artworks from the PMS Art Collection and student framed work for the Arts and Technology Festival and Visual Arts Exhibitions but is very dark which detracts from the works on display. The new lighting system will provide a more attractive experience as well as operational flexibility for exhibiting artworks at their best.

09.01.2022 Please see Heritage Trail Tours to consider booking as part of the P & C Picnic and Christmas concert on Friday December 4 from 3.30pm. If you miss out on booking a tour or haven't the time to do a full tour our Museum/History Centre will also be open and manned by friendly Modernian volunteers from 3.30pm to 6pm. The museum is located behind the black box or Hazel Day Drama Centre in the old weatherboard classrooms. You can access the museum from Hamilton St or via the steps down past the agora in between the Parsons and Mills buildings. All welcome.
