03.01.2022 Instruction to cease, temporarily, tennis activity in Perth and Peel regions of Western Australia Effective from midnight tonight, Friday 23 April 2021 until ...midnight on Monday 26 April 2021, the Perth metropolitan area and the Peel region will enter a 3-day lockdown, based on health advice. The WA Government has instructed a number of facilities will need to close in the Perth and Peel regions, including but not limited to gyms and indoor sporting venues as well as outdoor recreational facilities. As a result of these temporary measures, Tennis West is advising that all Tennis Clubs, Club Activities and Coaching Activities in Perth and Peel regions must cease operations immediately: All tennis clubs and centres are to close All tennis programmes and coaching be cancelled All club, association, and social play be cancelled until further notice All public court hire bookings to cease The 3-day lockdown will also deem that all Tennis West Leagues, competitions and tournaments scheduled within the lockdown period be postponed. All activities outside the Perth and Peel regions can continue as usual

02.01.2022 Following last night's announcement by the Premier, and confirmed today given zero new community transmission COVID-19 cases, all tennis activity is permitted t...o return as of 6:00pm Friday 5 February Please see the information below regarding transitions and restrictions in your region. PERTH METROPOLITAN AND PEEL REGIONS These transitional restrictions are in place until 12:01am on Sunday 14 February: Everyone over 12 years must continue to wear a mask in public and while at work, unless exempt or for outdoor vigorous exercise If you are actively playing tennis, you are not required to wear a mask. You must wear your mask at all times pre and post on-court vigorous exercise. If you are coaching tennis and not engaged in vigorous on-court exercise, masks must continue to be worn. 4 square metre capacity rule applies at all times Community sport can involve up to 150 people including players, officials and spectators Up to 32 people may be allowed on a tennis court at one time, as per the 4 square metre rule, however there may not be more than 150 people across the whole venue. Clubs are asked to coordinate their activities Seated service only at hospitality venues All staff, coaches, players, and visitors must register upon arrival using the SafeWA app or a manual register for contact tracing purposes. It is the responsibility of visitors and the venue to enforce this. Adhering to these restrictions, tennis competitions and tournaments may resume from Saturday 6 February 2021. ALL OTHER REGIONS INCLUDING SOUTH WEST There are no transitional restrictions in place for the South West, and all other zones not affected by the 5-day lockdown.
