12.02.2022 The team here at Perth Physiotherapy and Pilates wanted to share what we’re doing to ensure the safest environment for all patients and staff. With regular disinfecting in between each patient and after every clinical class, we are doing our best to minimise any and all potential cross contamination. Hand sanitiser is available in multiple spots of the clinic upon entry and exit. Masks are worn by everyone. This includes all staff and patients. Keeping in mind that they are ...mandatory during treatment and during our Clinical Pilates Classes. We thank everyone for your cooperation during this trying time. We understand it is stressful as the situation grows so we are doing what we can to help ease some of that for everyone. We look forward to seeing you at your next appointment!

Including consistent cleaning, disinfecting and changing of linen in all treatment rooms. As hard as we work, we also require help from you as our patients.... 07.01.2022 Week 3 of glute month! This week’s exercise is clams, with 3 increasing levels. Clams are a great way to isolate muscle strengthening in your glute medius muscle! For each level of the clam exercise, ensure that you draw the top hip down towards your feet to create a small gap between the waist and mat. Next, roll the top hip forwards slightly.... Level 1: start in side lying, hips bent to 45degs and knees to 90degs. Keeping your feet together, lift your top knee up. Level 2: same position as level 1, but raise both feet into the air, keeping them stacked. Lift your top knee up. Level 3: In sidelying, straighten your bottom leg. Keep your top knee and hip bent and hook the foot behind the bottom knee. Lift your top knee up. Watch Points: Hips should not be rolling backwards. Not bracing with your top arm. Go for 10 reps in each level, before changing to the opposite side. Let us know how you go!

We highly encourage grip socks to be worn to avoid slipping and sliding on our equipment! Check out our new range of socks from @moveactive next time you’re in!
01.01.2022 Stiff hips whilst sitting? Sore glutes from trying all our glute exercises this month? Try this stretch! Sitting on the edge of a chair, place your ankle on your opposite knee and place a gentle pressure on your knee. Lean forward and feel the stretch in the back of your hip! Hold for 30 seconds and repeat 3 times! Enjoy!
