Moving from an original goal of fat loss to muscle gain now that her initial goal has been achieved. 23.01.2022 NEVER MISS A MONDAY! Did you know that there is actually science to back this up? I strategically make Mondays the hardest at the studio, this isnt a fluke. Why? Motivation is always at its highest at the beginning of a new week, new month, new year. Once youve done an incredibly hard session you leave feeling proud of yourself, accomplished. The endorphins kick in so you slay the rest of the day. This carries across for the entire week! We, as humans, whether you know i...t or not, thrive on faith. We need to believe something better is coming: we are getting better, life, love, work is getting better! This new week, new me is a driving motivation that has the powder to build incredible momentum. If you train on a Monday youre more likely to continue on through out the week. If you miss a Monday that feeling of oh well, Ive missed Monday, may as well start next week kicks in. 22.01.2022 Last week I asked the girls what they wanted more of in sessions, or more of from me. My job as a trainer and as a coach is to serve, to motivate and ensure safety. The girls wanted a challenge day thrown in, so today thats what they got. I threw them in to an intense session (to say the least) and I am so proud of what they achieved today. Everyone came in different head spaces, some ready to go, others tired... but as soon as the clock started they worked as a team to fini...sh and they got it done and they kept pushing even after a few throwing up . I am SO honoured to be surrounded by such beautifully motivated girls who encourage and support their team. I love the fight they bring, each and every day. Its no wonder that not only does their body composition change, but those mental states do too; all for the better. The environment as I step in to the studio each morning and afternoon honestly takes my breath away. When we were out celebrating on Sunday, it had me reflecting on how truly lucky we are to have a space like the studio where women feel safe, strong and special. When it’s hot in the mornings, the last thing I want after a sweaty session is hot foods for breakfast but I do LOVE drinking smoothies or having smoothie bowls . 12.01.2022 COACH CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS| ONLINE NUTRITION COACHING CLIENT! I couldnt be more proud of this beauty if I tried. Weve worked together for month and months and every check in she absolutely slays! The keys behind successful client and coach relationship are trust and communication. She trusts me with her nutrition and I trust her to execute. Communication is also key as it allows me to know whats going on at all times; did she eat her meals and hit macro targets? Did she ad...here to her own movement schedules? Hows her mindset? Has she been dealing with external or internal factors that may affect her progress? If she doesnt trust me or doesnt feel like she couldnt be honest if she ever came off track, her results wouldnt be as successful. We can only work on and fix what is discussed. Say she completely feel off the rails for a week or two and didnt communicate that to me, how could I update her accurately?! This is why clear communication is absolutely imperative. Theres longevity in her progress because its more of a lifestyle for her now; does she party? Absolutely! Does she have meals out? Absolutely! Does she fall off track some times? Absolutely! Does she have bad days or miss training ? ABSOLUTELY! But by communicating these things with me I am able to implement protocols and practices to help her negate these detours and get her back on track. A sustainable coach/ client relationship is exactly that; a relationship. Its not one email every week or two. 11.01.2022 THE POWER OF NUTRITION~ 3 WEEK PROGRESS| Before we jump in, I want you to notice I said nutrition not diet. This is a very different progress photo and it comes with a few key takeaways so I hope you find the time to read. My beautiful best friend has unfortunately been sick for over a month with autoimmune issues and GI issues leaving her unable to train much. These results came about with literally 2-3 sessions, so its ALL nutritionally based. When a person is sick they ...normally hold a lot of water, get softer are bloated and dont look or feel their best, so how did we achieve these beautiful results?! The answer lies solely in nutrition! You are what you absorb and assimilate, not what you eat! For the past few weeks, in order to heal I have implemented particular dietary protocols for Leish; 100 percent whole foods. Zero dairy, zero gluten, zero soy, peanuts, zero colours, additives, chemicals or numbers. She also made changes to her lifestyle; reduction of stress, more sleep, more boundaries and these are the results. No calorie counting, no deprivation, now low carb diets, just clean whole foods in abundance. When we are constantly bloated or experiencing digestive uospet or eating foods our bodies dont thrive on; we dont assimilate or absorb nutrients well. Which is why in cases of sibo etc the patient is deficient in a lot of nutrients. By focusing on getting her to eat what is best for her body at this time, she is now able to actually ABSORB what she is eating and her body isnt under increased duress trying to navigate its way through a whole bunch of processed crap, thus, a huge reduction in inflammation, happier hormones and a functioning metabolism! Sometimes when we are sick we have to make changes in order to heal! Will her diet always be like this? Absolutely not. Are all my clients diets like this, hell no. How ever many changes are here to stay; during this process her taste buds have changed, she no longer craves foods she used to, her palate desires more nutritious options, shes sleeping better, more energy and is happier! When I think about the studio and what makes it different to other studios or fitness facilities in the market - it comes down to the way the sessions are run. I would class the sessions as "GROUP PERSONAL TRAINING" instead of group fitness. Group fitness doesnt sound personal at all, it sounds like a collective. Yes, of course you are a team and a unit when we train at the studio, but you are however, treated as an individual. We focu...s on YOU. Your form, your safety, your goals. We dont have tvs counting you down, we dont have voiced timers, we dont just mindlessly walk in a circle around the room as "safety officers". I dont film clients when theyre training because my attention is always on YOU. We, at the SHIFT SWEAT STUDIO are hands on. We are focused on your PERSONAL results.
