25.01.2022 I found this designer fabric remnant and tucked it away in my personal stash because I knew it would make a wonderful cushion cover. Which side do you like best? Giraffe or elephant? We got married in the elephant amphitheater at Perth Zoo so elephants are extra special to us. I just love the ‘natural’ look.... No piece of textile is too small to upcycle! See more

19.01.2022 I don’t often get to see the things I make for others in their new home so seeing this today gave me a little heart flutter. And my indoor children’s decor bunting looks all the cuter in this new bub’s nursery next to those adorable paintings created by the lovely new mumma.

17.01.2022 I am obsessing over wattle at the moment - can you tell? This beautiful Australian native is flowering at the moment, bringing sunshine to my winter garden. It also inspired this... #headpiece #flowercrown #fascinator featuring paper beads made from assorted papers including magazine covers, wallpapers, tissue boxes and offcuts. See more

15.01.2022 Bumble bees 0h bees that please Decoupage fit for a queen bee was a way to cover a mend and make my favourite sunnies very personal and unique. And it has staying power. This was done more than five years ago!... #fashionhacks #fashionfix #consciousfashion

14.01.2022 Tantalising tassels. . Textural tassels. . Temptingly tonal tassels.... . All made from reclaimed bits of fibre joy and ready to be matched with some extra large hand-rolled paper and reclaimed beads for some seriously fun and light-as-air necklaces. See more

13.01.2022 A sneak peek at my latest upcycle...although if I am honest, I always have a list of works in progress! These are all pieces acquired over years from op shops and people clearing houses, and some are antique bits I picked up at an auction. They’re far too pretty to end up in landfill.

12.01.2022 A vintage glass bowl, a tumbler, and a footed plate...all found at local markets ...remade into a two tier produce stand. Adding a charming and practical touch in the kitchen. All you need is the right glue and a bit of imagination to turn the ordinary and unwanted into something beautiful and functional.

11.01.2022 I grow plants - including edible ones - in just about anything! If it will hold at least 20cm of soil, it is fair game. I also don’t put drainage holes in the ones I may want to repurpose down the line...I am just very careful not to overwater. Believe it or not, over-watering is the most common cause of plant failure.

09.01.2022 Old curtains may be suffering from fading or even the odd moth hole after many years in your windows, but they are far from over their useful lifespan. Here I turned a pair of eyelet curtains into two extra large laundry hampers which hang on hooks on the wall (in my case) although you could hang them wherever suits...even on the back of doors on over-door hooks if you rent! This project is also a fantastic alternative to traditional toy boxes...keeping all the stuff off the floor and no lids to catch little fingers learning to pick up after themselves!

09.01.2022 The problem with synthetic handbags is that after a time, the surface cracks and starts to delaminate. This is obviously a problem on several fronts. This bag started life as a gorgeous shoulder bag from a local designer. One of my fav’s...well it WAS purple! So when the vinyl started to fail in sections I upcycled it with fun flowers and some corner patches. Second life and more fun wears. Until the problem spread to more sections.... I still love the purple mock-croc though so I salvaged what I could and made myself a handy clutch. Here’s to its third reincarnation!

09.01.2022 Latest item of the bench - a delicious confection of colours. Colour makes you happy. Wear it with abandon! ... Five strand necklace using reclaimed embroidery threads, reclaimed acrylic and glass beads (some vintage), and hand-rolled paper beads made from magazine pages.

08.01.2022 Paper beads are a fantastic way to repurpose beautiful paper and card into wearable options. The Perth Remakery will be kicking off a whole new range of workshop opportunities in 2021 including paper bead jewellery making sessions. Easy, fun, and very wearable. There will be workshops for Basic Beadmaking, Paper Bead Ear Confections, Paper Bead Necklace Masterclass and more. Calendar out in December.

08.01.2022 Recycled and upcycled can be really glamorous. Small bowl made from a vintage doily. Tasselled pendant necklace made from repaired and reclaimed components from four different sources.... Resting on an upcycled 1940s solid timber cabinet featuring a lace pattern paint effect and facetted ‘crystal’ knobs. This cabinet is designed to work in the dining room, the bedroom...anywhere you want a luxe statement piece and extra storage. Necklace and cabinet available for purchase. Direct message me for details. See more

07.01.2022 Even the humble (and horrible) plastic bottle can be remade into something pretty. ‘Crystal Bloom’ headband featuring recycled plastic flower, reclaimed jewellery elements and reclaimed fibres and textile.

04.01.2022 I like a little touch of the unexpected. Like this vibrant sky blue on the back of a divine vintage floral that is just modern enough to take the best of granny chic and boho and make it current. Of course I just love the flowers. They remind me of botanical specimen drawings.
