25.01.2022 Exterra Termite baiting system just installed. Termites have been active the the timber floor of a Joondalup residence. In-ground, In-concrete and Above-ground station used plus several follow up visits to come. In this case, due to the building design, we were not confident that termiticide chemical injection would have solved the issue, therefore a baiting system had to be employed. #Exterra

25.01.2022 Termite damage??? When viewing a property for potential purchase, or even your own, it doesn't harm to carry out a quick assessment for termites. It wouldn't be unheard of for a not-so-honest seller to remove any potential issues before the pest inspector arrives. It's worth checking out the following: Timber retaining walls Discarded Timber... Landscaping timbers Gate posts / Fence posts Stumps Poor drainage Check the photos out for some signs of damage and other potential concerns!

17.01.2022 Rodents are beginning to come inside now that the temperature has dropped. Things you can do to prevent this include reducing foliage close to the house and sealing gaps. If you do get rodents in your property, use the ERD principle.. Exclusion, restriction, destruction. Wire wool and expanding foam are cheap effective gap fillers and work well for the excluding and restriction element of the ERD principle. See attached.

01.01.2022 German Cockroaches require a different approach to most other species. Treatment of their harbourages is required where viable. The approach using a residual insecticidal spray either blanket sprayed or applied to wall / floor junctions will likely be ineffective or at best slow to control an infestation. The photos illustrate some of their favourite hide outs which require attention.
