24.01.2022 In John 21 Jesus is on the beach preparing breakfast v 12 Come and eat breakfast! he says to His disciples. Jesus serves us first! TJesus asked the disciples, children, do you have any food? They had lost their vision, Jesus had died, so they went back fishing. However v 3 tells us they had caught nothing We often do a lot of stuff, but ‘catch nothing’. Jesus is the Bread of Life. He is our Source. He’s preparing a fire on the beach to catch the fish, which after they h...ad toiled and caught nothing, He tells them to cast the net on the right side of the boat and you will find some, to which they did! Jesus serves them! Luke 24:15 So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus Himself drew near and went with them. But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him. It isn’t until v 31 As He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him.. Again, Jesus is serving them firstgiving them a meal.started with food (v 30) fellowship (32, 42) and blessing (v 36, 51) Who can you serve this week?

19.01.2022 Life seems to be full of suprising things for me in this season! After Myanmar, I now face a new challenge and as part of that I went to my first Pilates class! ....Exercise! I normally avoid it, except for walking to the shops! But I must say, "I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it!" The challenge to 'move more' is ever present! We can miss out on so much that God has for us when we have a rigid mindset against certain things! Open yourself up to trying new things this year. What is God challenging you to do? You may be surprised! "Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them"...Isaiah 42:9

18.01.2022 Colette Alexander....awesome preach! enjoy everyone

16.01.2022 Isn’t it vastly unfair to claim that all the people who don’t believe in Jesus are condemned to hell? Ravi Zacharias starts by addressing the myth that since Jesus came only 2,000 years ago, everything that came before him (including our beliefs) would take precedence over him and the religion his life inspired. But 3,000 years before Jesus, we see Abraham, who grew up in a polytheistic society, yet found the one true God. In Genesis 18:25, we are told the Judge of all the e...arth will do that which is right. This verse is in context to the judgment that was coming upon Sodom and Gomorrah as a result of their disobedience. Zacharias claims the examples of Sodom and Gomorrah and Abraham show us that God speaks through our consciences. He speaks through creation. He speaks ultimately through his word and then in the incarnation of Jesus Christ. Additionally, Zacharias claims God doesn’t really send anybody to hell. We make our choice. Ultimately, the decision to submit to our heavenly Father or not is our choice. Because, as Zacharias explains, he will not violate our wills. God is very concerned with our freedom. That sacred gift of my freedom is given to me by God, Zacharias says.

16.01.2022 I cannot remember hearing a message about "a tender spirit", but it is one of the keys to deliverance and living a life full of joy. Jesus, it says in Isaiah "would grow up before him as a tender plant." The New Testament says, the servant of the Lord must not strive, but be gentle unto all men". Now there's a challenge...... A rough, harsh spirit is satanic and draws evil spirits into one's life. Don't stand up for your rights. Be tender. Be kind. Turn the other cheek - Jesus will work for you!

15.01.2022 When you see what God is doing in the world, take heart...keep our eyes on Jesus....

14.01.2022 Just returned from a fantastic week at INC conference at Coolangatta last week!

10.01.2022 Coming into Christmas....let's enjoy our families.... Here's some food for thought: "The Myth of the Perfect Parent".....parenting has become more complicated that it needs to be. It used to be that Christian parents basically tried to feed their kids, clothe them, teach them about Jesus and keep them away from explosives! (mind you I did enjoy fireworks as a kids and playing with 'tom thumbs'!).... Now our kids have to sleep on their backs, oh no wait a minute, their tummies......no, no....never mind...their backs! it's all so involved...parenting may be the last bastion of legalism. Christian parents often operate with implicit determinisim: we fear wrong moves will ruin our children forever and assume, at the same time that the right combination of protection and instruction will produce godliness in them." (from Crazy Busy by Kevin KeYoung) It's harder to ruin our kids than we think! Take time to 'break a few rules this Christmas!' Enjoy your kids, grandkids and have fun! Merry Christmas!

09.01.2022 You set the standard for how you expect to be treated, by the way you treat others."There is no law against love" Gal 5:18 and "through love, serve one another" Gal 5:13 Joseph is a great example of someone who loved and forgave his brothers despite their despicable treatment of him. I CAN be who God says I am on a consistent basis. I am loving! I am forgiving! When we excuse ourselves, we diminish ourselves. When we say, "I can't", we diminish the Holy Spirit's work in our life. Choose always to do the right thing, and it will come back to you.

08.01.2022 Giants grow from situations that people let go and fail to address. I asked David Hogan about a daunting situation and his answer? "Just go in there and rip its throat out!" He is fearless! Confrontation doesn't scare him. "It pleases me that demons are nervous when I am around," he says. His response is quite Biblical. Isaiah 45:14 "they shall come over in chains; and they shall bow down to you. They will say, "surely God is in you, and their is no other God." What situation is intimidating you? Address it! "Take the next step!" "Flip it off and keep going." Jesus is King!

03.01.2022 Adherence to rules is a difficult thing for a childfor an adult you would expect better results; but all I know is that it is hard! It is hard when in recovery for six weeks you must ‘do what the doctor tells you’ to expect optimum results. Here I am, day in day out recuperating after surgery, wanting to do more, but knowing that I can’t. I believe the road to recovery is harder than the surgery itself! No wonder 80% of these surgeries fail. People fail to do as they are tol...d. God has given us ‘rules to live by’.but the greater percentage of people fail in adherence to God’s rules. It is hard. The road of ‘restraint’ is the hardest road of all.but it is the road to optimum joy and success. Be encouraged that every time you listen to your heavenly Father and ‘show restraint’ in difficult circumstances, you will gain the ultimate victory! See more

03.01.2022 I love praise! Studies prove as we clap our hands, the nerves in our fingers stimulate the whole body (which are connected to every major organ)....bringing it to life! Clapping is a Biblical form of praise and it is a show of approval and appreciation. The benefits of clapping are more than we've understood and greater than we could have imagined. As you find yourself in Church tomorrow, put your hands together and çlap to the Lord. When God says, "clap"! He is saying, "get life"!

02.01.2022 lets have some gospel revival Richard Oddie!!
