19.01.2022 Dear parents/caregivers, The Premier today announced that schools and preschools will reopen to all students on Monday 23 November. As a result our school will be open and operating as normal. We will not be offering an alternative home-based learning program.... As the Chief Public Health Officer said, "Just because the hard lockdown is being lifted does not mean that the risks associated with COVID-19 have passed". As a result we will minimise the number of people coming and going from our site. Wherever possible, please drop and collect your child at the gate and maintain the appropriate physical distance from other adults. More information on excursions, events and sporting activities, and use of masks will be available soon. Thank you very much for your support over the last couple of days. We look forward to having your child back at school on Monday. Regards, Sonja Mercer Principal #PHSProud

07.01.2022 A reassuring message from the SACE board that everything remains on schedule. The SACE board have also let teachers know that we have flexibilities in use of judgement and extensions of time to upload grades for students in Stage 1 subjects (typically yr 11). I encourage any year 11s to email any evidence of work they have to their teachers, for their final tasks. This may mean that you send a script instead of an oral presentation, for example. If any year 11s have question...s about this, please email me at [email protected] #PHSProud #choosephs

02.01.2022 World Mental Health Day 1 in 5 Australians are affected by mental illness annually, yet many don’t seek help because of stigma. During the COVID-19 pandemic, prioritising mental health and wellbeing has been more important than ever. This World Mental Health Day October 10 the message is simple: Look after your mental health, Australia.... Some ways you can look after your mental health: Keep active.
