22.01.2022 Yesterday, with the aid of my son Glen (well he actually did most of the work), we have added another attraction to the Burg. It is a model of the T181 steam locomotive which was the last steam loco to take a train from Peterborough to Broken Hill on the 9th January 1970. This model was made by Reg Pye and most of it has been constructed using a 3D printer.

19.01.2022 Its taken a while but we have finally managed to get hold of some printers. They have been in short supply and from what we are hearing will be for some time yet.

18.01.2022 The Lions Club of Peterborough normally have their red post box to send letters to Santa in the Town Hall; but due to COVID it has been relocated to the Newsagency this year.

18.01.2022 Our Newspower Christmas Catalogue was released several weeks ago. We have a wide range of the listed specials but word from our supplier is that a lot of the products are selling out quick so its possible that once we sell out of a popular item we wont be able to replace it.

17.01.2022 Do you like Art? Come in and have a look at our range of assorted canvas prints. Prices start at $28.

15.01.2022 We have just opened up a model railway based on the Peterborough Yards in 1968. Its part of The Burg. Entry is free.

14.01.2022 Its been 12 months since we opened the model train up to the public. Where did that time go to?

12.01.2022 We have added a Towns Football Guernsey to our collections in The Burg. This was worn by Don Fielding when he played for Towns prior to Peterborough being admitted to the Northern Areas Competition. Don played in 4 Towns Premierships and the 1962 B Grade Peterborough Premiership side. Thank you to the Fielding Family for Donating it to our collection.

12.01.2022 We've added some emus and kangaroos to the model railway display.

09.01.2022 This week is National Newsagents Week and we are supporting Food Bank in raising funds to help families in need. For every $2 raised Food Bank say that they can provide 4 meals. The aim is to raise 200,000 meals nationwide.

07.01.2022 We have just upgraded out photo kiosk. It is a lot simpler to use than the previous one. You can now print direct from you phone, USB, SD or wifi. Photo sizes are 6 by 4 inch, 6 by 6 inch, 6 by 8 inch, plus you can also do 6 by 14 and 6 by 20 inch panoramas.

02.01.2022 We have made a slight change to our closing time from Monday to Friday. We now close at 5pm instead of 5-30. Weekends remain the same for the time being.
