25.01.2022 Went for a walk down the street in the light rain to get my morning coffee. I didn’t take my DSLR, but sometimes all you need is a good phone camera and an eye for the small things. #macro #iphone11pro

22.01.2022 Now that’s a photography gig! Wow! Lol

22.01.2022 Well, time to change my camera setting again.... #StayHome #StaySafe #photography #Canon

21.01.2022 Who needs a DSLR to take a nice photo?! Taken with my iPhone 11 Pro. A small snail sitting on a bird of paradise flower. :)

21.01.2022 Well what a weekend! Ups and downs and never long enough, but did manage to get down to the coast to see the cliffs near Cape Paterson again!

20.01.2022 You don't have to be a professional photographer to take a photo that others can enjoy! :)

19.01.2022 Tonight I got the chance to do some drone photography.... but with a twist... :D #DJISpark DJI Australia and New Zealand

18.01.2022 Well, today's adventures finally took me past this beauty! :D HMAS Otama is a decommissioned submarine. Nice day for it with not too much wind :) More info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMAS_Otama

17.01.2022 Passing through Sea Lake last month I stopped to stretch, and get some photos of the town. :) Sea Lake, Victoria

15.01.2022 Went for a family trip yesterday down to Corinella and San Remo. Definitely a nice place to fly a Spark. :D Also nice places to take some good ol' DSLR photos :D

14.01.2022 It’s fun shooting for these community challenges! Especially entertaining seeing all the things it could be! :)

13.01.2022 So, today I went on a mission down town to see if I could find and photograph some more of these photos from the 1944 Jim Fitzpatrick collection. I found most of them, though I couldn't physically get the same angle as before for the old police station as the extension is right where the photo was taken. I will have to put them all in an album as I couldn't add them to the previous post.

13.01.2022 This week for work I was able to go for quite a drive! On the way home I came past these two places, Lake Nillahcootie and Lake Eildon at Bonnie Doon. I previously photographed these in February 2019, so these are comparisons from approximately the same position, yet almost 2 years apart! :) #DJISpark DJI Australia and New Zealand Lake Nillahcootie

12.01.2022 Sometimes when driving around this amazing country, you see something you just have to stop and take a photo of, even if it's 1 degree C outside... Well yesterday I came across one of those moments. :) so peaceful, and cold! Taken near Langley Victoria. Canon 600D, ISO 100, 200mm (18-200mm lens), f/5.6, 1/125s

11.01.2022 Yesterday I drove to Knox reserve to have some lunch. I met a lovely Jamaican man who was flying some kites! So of course I had to get up and have a look around.

10.01.2022 Time lapse of tonight’s storm hitting Drouin! Gippsland Storm Chasers

09.01.2022 Most of the old photos were taken from the 1944 collection by Jim Fitzpatrick "Drouin town and rural life during World War II". (The full collection of 86 photos can be found here https://nla.gov.au/nla.obj-147026428)

08.01.2022 Today at the site I was working there was this water fountain that had bees visiting for the water on such a hot day. I couldn't help but take these photos after work! :D Taken on my Canon 600D with an 18-250mm lens plus extension tubes to convert it to Macro. :D #canonphotography #dslrphotography

08.01.2022 Tonight's sunset from the veranda! I've titled it Rain of Fire! This is caused by the orange sunlight coming under the clouds as a shower comes down. :) Also, 400 likes! :O Thank you all for being here to enjoy my hobby! :) #iphone11pro

06.01.2022 Peter Eshuis Photography, caught these stunning 360* views of a storm as he traveled to Mildura today, head over to his Photography page and give a "like & shar...e" to show your appreciation. Remember guys your images don't have to always be from Gippsland if you're "out and about" in this wide world of ours and you catch something fantastic then please share it with us The first image is from a storm near Wycheproof and the second from Sea Lake

05.01.2022 Since getting a drone for photography I've had many opportunities to get a new angle on already beautiful places. Sometimes revisiting the old angles can be quite interesting too! In December I was at a farmers market where I met a few people from Drouin History Group who prompted me to become more interested in documenting current history, not just looking at history from many years ago. And so I got the encouragement to start trying to retake these old photos from as close ...to the original position as possible. Obviously there's large quality differences, but there's certainly been a lot of change! The aerial photos were taken in 1944 as part of a collection of photos titled "Drouin town and rural life during World War II" by Jim Fitzpatrick. (https://nla.gov.au/nla.obj-147026428) A few of the photos weren't taken from a plane and are ones I've found on Google Images. I look forward to finding more like these, probably for surrounding areas so I can help document the changes in our local area. Let me know if you find any and I will put them on my list, though this is a hobby for me. :)

05.01.2022 This week I got to stay in Echuca for a couple of nights. Couldn't help getting some shots of the surrounding area, both NSW and Vic... :D And I have another 360 one on the way too. :)

04.01.2022 This just came in and I’ve gotta say, there’s a certain joy that only comes from seeing one of your photos printed on canvas! Available to buy! Langley Sunrise Canvas print 24x36 (60x90cm) $200, but open to offers. Let me know if you’re interested! :)

04.01.2022 Yesterday after work I popped out to Hastings Pier to see what I could see. As well as a lovely sunset, I was able to locate The Redbird shipwreck! (http://vhd.heritage.vic.gov.au/shipwrecks/heritage/560) Sadly I was there at high tide, so it was pretty much under water.

02.01.2022 Friday’s sunrise in Echuca Victoria.

02.01.2022 Some sunset photos from the last few days :D

02.01.2022 Well, it's from March last year, but here's Swan Hill! :)

02.01.2022 So yesterday I got a new lens for my camera! :D Today I found these two wonderful creations in a small gum tree. :D They are Cup Moth Caterpillars. I saw these come up on another post where someone had brushed against the spikes. The stings can be quite painful and swell. Use tape to remove any spikes possibly left behind, Stingoes and antihistamine if it keeps swelling. Oh and some birds flew past... lol

02.01.2022 Anyone else see an animal? Or maybe an ATAT Walker? Oh well, here's a shot of the Loy Yang power station, from approx. 10km away :)
