25.01.2022 What comes after COVID-19? WA needs a plan beyond the pandemic that creates thousands of jobs now, into the future and secures our economy for decades. Zak Kirkup and the Liberals ambitious New Energy Jobs Plan will create thousands of jobs, bring back manufacturing to WA and diversify our economy.... This will be the largest renewable energy project in Australia’s history building wind, solar, gas and battery storage projects to power WA jobs into the future. It's all about bringing manufacturing back to WA, so we can build more with our WA resources and create jobs for now and the future. It will open up new markets, exporting clean, safe hydrogen to trading partners like Japan and Korea, and power a new green steel industry. It's a vision that is in our Liberal DNA, a nation-building project that will create jobs and prosperity for Western Australia, just like Sir Charles Court's vision for the North West Shelf. This project will enable the State Government to achieve zero emissions. To be perfectly clear this will not impact the private sector. This is only about the State Government’s emissions and leading by example. Our plan will support business transition to green exports and clean energy operations if they choose and it makes sense to their own business. This is a game changer project that is all about creating thousands of new jobs and is part of the Liberals plan for 200,000 new jobs in WA. The Liberals New Energy Jobs Plan will take WA forward, together. Learn more: https://www.waliberal.org.au/.../liberals-visionary-plan.../

22.01.2022 *** Let’s rebuild Springfield Primary School *** With schools restarting this week we are reminded that schoolchildren deserve safe and modern school buildings to help them learn. I am committed to rebuilding Springfield Primary School in Kallaroo so our local kids don’t have to put up with rundown 50 year old buildings any longer.

21.01.2022 To support local sport and in particular women’s sport, the WA Liberals have committed $700,000 to Sorrento Football Club for change room upgrades. These upgrades will assist the club to bid to become a host club for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup which would be a huge boost for our northern suburbs. I was pleased to work on this project with my colleague Tony Krsticevic MLA

14.01.2022 Zak Kirkup MP and the Liberals will fight for stamp duty tax relief for seniors downsizing from the family home to help them get into housing that better suits their needs and budget. This plan will also help free up established housing for families who are looking to upsize as their family grows. Labor’s $850 per year increases to household bills is putting too much pressure on our community, particularly our seniors.... Seniors who want to sell their family home and move into housing that better suits their needs, deserve to be able to do so.

13.01.2022 Our local Sorrento Bowling Club is a great community hub. Along with my colleague Tony Krsticevic MLA I have fought to secure a $200,000 commitment from the Liberal Party to help the club install a synthetic green so more members can have fun and stay fit.

03.01.2022 As a local and a former Nippers age manager I know first hand that Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club WA desperately needs new facilities. I have worked closely with the club and my colleague Tony Krsticevic MLA to drive the much hoped-for rebuild. Today’s commitment means that the club has certainty and peace of mind that it will get the modern facilities local families need and deserve.
