23.01.2022 Overseas, in an Aussie Defence Force compound, they not only have a memorial for our fallen soldiers but also for our military working doggos who were killed in action. I recently learned that when USA military working dogs are euthanised or killed in action, the handler will do a "last call" for their dog.... "Rex 44 please respond" - said 3 times, waiting for the response that never comes. They then announce "Rex 44 is out of service. Thank you for your service and may you rest in peace". Wonder if we do the same for our Aussie doggo's?

22.01.2022 Dear Stumpy, One year ago today, our hearts were broken when we said Goodbye to you, the best cat in the whole wide world. We still feel your presence here at home, so much so, that we haven't yet moved your bed from your favourite spot. No one else uses it.. Just can't move it... Still missing the heck out of ya' big guy. Love from your hooman Mum & Dad (and your homies Indi and Mervyn).

Let's hope and pray for a better ending and a great start to 2021Thanks to everyone for your support, your beautiful reviews, the thankyous, your word-of-mouth recommendations, your 'likes' and 'follows'. And sadly, special thanks you to those who've invited me into their home more than once this year . 17.01.2022 A couple of weeks ago, I had the honour of helping send off this little Byron Bay legend. George was 2i.c. and mascot for Blackdog Surfing Byron Bay . A true surf-dog, he'd been carving up the local breaks since he was 8 weeks old, in his own unique "backward" style. Georgie was also a mad-keen ball dog and never missed the opportunity to drop one at your feet. There was so much love for this doggo, none more so than on that Sunday when his family and a few close friends gathered to say goodbye, to remember why they'll never forget. The best dog. 14.01.2022 Say hi to Jon Snow ! The newest member of my debriefing team. After a trial adoption from Animal Rights and Rescue, it looks like he gets the thumbs up from the rest of my team. We are totally smitten with this kitten. With one blue eye, one copper eye and soft white fur, he's a wee bit deaf. Not that there's anything wrong with that! Welcome to the family little guy
