19.01.2022 RESPECTFUL RELATIONSHIPS When children have the opportunity to build a growing network of reciprocal and meaningful relationships, children will continue to grow in confidence, will feel respected and also secure in their environments. Through consistently prioritising nurturing relationships with children, we begin to provide children with a sense belonging to their environment, in turn, supporting exploration and learning.

18.01.2022 Loose Parts During our team meeting on Wednesday evening (27/2/19), we discussed implementing more loose parts into our rooms and programs. We discussed the endless possibilities of loose parts and open ended resources. ... "When children have access to an array of materials the possibilities are meaningful, child directed and far more exciting" - Journey Into Play. Our Burrows Lane studio collected up a variety of loose parts for the children to explore and have implemented an exciting new experience. How exciting. We would like to invite our families to donate any loose parts that they have too. This could be wooden spoons, bottle tops, buttons, pieces of material and so much more. We cant wait to watch our loose parts play an important part in our programs at Clifton Hill.

09.01.2022 Are they just outside or truly experiencing the outdoors? The two things are not the same. To truly experience the outdoors, children need to be immersed in nature. Body, hands, heads and hearts playing IN and WITH nature. Weather isnt a barrier, only attitudes are. Nature is THE place for unstructured and uninterrupted play. Here at Petit Clifton Hill, we refrain from having our adult agenda interfere with the child-nature connection, hands-on and hearts-in! Our children are thoroughly enjoying their fortnightly excursions come rain, hail or shine

01.01.2022 We would like to introduce you to our sports incursion program - Sports4Kinders (S4K). Our children from our young toddlers through to kinder have this program available to them on both Tuesdays and Fridays each week. The children attending our service on these days are more than welcome to participate in our sport sessions as they are included in our fees. What will the children gain from S4K?... S4K believe that children learn best when they are having fun! Thus S4K place a strong emphasis on ensuring the children have fun during our session. As it is a sports program the children gain confidence and improvement in the following key area: Balance and co-ordination Hand-eye-foot co-ordination Core body strength Feeling of belonging to team/group, self esteem Fine/gross motor development Special awareness S4K also encourage the children to grow self-awareness and realise their achievements. Weekly newsletters and positive reinforcement give children the opportunity to share with their loved ones exactly what they have been achieving during their sports time. We aim to plant the seed for an active, fit and healthy lifestyle for years to come.
