25.01.2022 Treasure Coves Animal Hospital Over the last couple weeks in Treasure Cove, we have been learning about the recent Bush fires and how some of our Australian animals have been hurt from the fires. The children have been very interested in Koalas and how they have been cared for in the animal hospitals to make them feel better to then go back into the wild. We decided to make our very own animal hospital in home corner. We have stethoscopes, thermometers, incubators, hospital beds and lots of bandages. We also have some X-Rays of the animals to look at where they have been hurt. Watch as we continue to build our animal hospital to help our animal friends.

We have been learning about respectful practices for babies which incorporated well during our mealtimes. We hope to continue this and see where we go next.

24.01.2022 Today in the Burrows Lane studio the children had a great time testing their balancing and climbing skills with an amazing obstacle course. What a fun way to build on our physical abilities.

22.01.2022 Here at Petit we take hygiene very seriously, the children and educators around the centre have talking about the importance of hand washing and hygiene, and how important it is to use soap to remove as many germs as we can. Using a little experiment that has become quite popular on social media, we showed the children how the "germs" are repelled by the soap, keeping us squeaky clean. Some of the children also took some time to wash their own hats in a hygiene-based experience. We will continue to revisit good hygiene while in care and the importance of hand washing and minimizing the spread of germs.

21.01.2022 In our foyer at Petit Pimpama, Miss Chloe is adding a staff shout out zone. We invite families and staff to add their shout outs to our wall using the materials provided. 07.01.2022 The Burrows lane children have been loving watching the rain fall outside so what better way than to bring the rain inside to them. We practiced a rain experiment using a jar filled with water and topped with shaving foam which represented the clouds, the children used the droppers filled with blue dye to drop it onto the foam. The children were fascinated to see that the blue dye dropped through the foam and into the water just like rain droplets. The children also did a pa...inting which allowed them to use their imagination and paint their interpretation of what the weather looked like outside, using blue paint and cotton balls to create their masterpieces, some children dabbed the paint onto the paper as rain droplets and others painting it on to make it look like it was raining heavy. They then got to put cotton balls in place of where they thought the clouds would go. See more

05.01.2022 Due to the recent stress our countrys natural environment has been through with the bush fires and flooding, Petit Pimpama wanted to instill a sense of love and pride for nature and the importance we can play in its continued growth. With that in mind the studios have taken it upon themselves to teach our children how to look after our gardens by planting some of their own flowers. The children have had so much fun and have relished getting their hands dirty to help our planet.

04.01.2022 Hello Happy feet Families, and welcome to Seasons week! It was a whirlwind of weather and activities today for sure! After talking about the 4 different seasons, Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring, and looking at some pictures showing the different seasons, Miss Kayla showed us a super fun dance and we played the 4 seasons game! Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring, As the seasons change, so does the weather they bring! We listened to descriptions of the different types of weather we can expect each season, and had to work out which season was being described! My goodness we have such clever little Happy Feeters! After our game, we pretended the weather got really cold Brrr Im freezing! We put on our winter woolies, popped up our umbrellas, and went and played in the puddles!
