25.01.2022 Meet the faces behind the popular RAW CAKE stall, Petra and her husband Pete. There's a reason why Petra and her husband has won 1st place for the best stallh...older 3 years in a row. The duo has been supplying Darwin with incredible guilt-free desserts for over the last 6 years. So we asked Petra a few questions about why she started her business and what her all-time favourite flavour is. Tell us a little bit about why you started your business Petra: Petra's Raw Cakes has been born when I first started transitioning to healthier foods but could not give up desserts. I wanted to create recipes that weren't dry boring, but instead explosive with layers of flavour and a smooth fresh texture. What are you most proud of in your business? Petra: I am most proud that my little business has not been just a novelty or a short-lived hype but is a stable and growing business. I get a lot of comments from people down-south that they tasted a lot of different raw cakes but nothing compares to the flavours when they taste mine. What's a fun fact about you or your stall? Petra: When the kids are in bed that means date night and Netflix and Chill at our house... And by 'date' night I mean we watch TV and pit the never-ending supply of dates What's your all-time favourite flavour? Lately, the chocolate drip cakes have been my favourite. They're made with organic cacao butter, cacao powder, almonds and cashews. Why did you choose to trade at the Malak Marketplace? Petra: We have been a part of Malak Marketplace from its very start and have won 1st place best stallholder awards 3 years in a row. Malak Marketplace attracts target audience who understand the benefits of our organic healthy delicious raw cakes, slices and bliss balls. Thanks, Petra!
