24.01.2022 After days of constant data entry, tech support, training, product counting and new POS software setup we are ready for our first day with our new POS. Phew. Thanks for being patient everyone. I definitely feel like this dog though, so please be patient with us as we adjust to this new system :D

22.01.2022 To all our wonderful customers and Facebook friends. An amazing rescue group that we work closely with GINGER NINJA, needs some help. The most selfless and awesome lady by the name of Gloria has hit some hard times. Her car has, let's just say pooped itself. This amazing lady has done soooo much for so many needy cats and kittens, old, young, broken and sometimes just hard to darn love. She spends endless time travelling to and fro, picking up, dropping off, vet trips not to ...mention trapping in the wild colonies to save, or at the very least desex endless cats and kittens. I have never once heard her ask for anything or complain. The cost financially and time wise is unbelievable. Some lovely ladies have set up a go fund me page which I am more than happy to share on my page. So if any of you would like to donate anything it would be so much appreciated so she can continue this amazing work. PS. Gloria does all of this with the help of many foster carers whilst also working her day to day job, ( not to mention all the other rescue groups she is involved or helps with!!!!) 21.01.2022 PLEASE READ ATTACHED LINK In light of the current outbreak in SA (especially those close to our store) and for the safety of our customers and staff, Petsland has reinstated our restricted entry setup. We are happy to bring stock to you at our mall entrance or allow people in store if they are looking to purchase something in particular, but cannot facilitate browsing. We have decided to do this due to the sheer volume of foot traffic we have every day, and the fact that we ...are unable to conform to social distancing when we have lots of people crowding by our enclosures. We attempted to fix this yesterday but people were still crowding around blocked areas. 17.01.2022 So after following the steps and previous experience of the larger format stores across Australia in covid lockdowns, we will open tomorrow to provide essential services to our customers with animals that cannot purchase their food from supermarkets. With the current covid restrictions in mind we will be restricting our hours from 10am - 3.00pm Monday to Saturday until further notice. 14.01.2022 Our newest clutch of green cheek conure babies have just finished being weaned and are ready to find homes. We only have one little pineapple left available, but we do have several other colours; standard, cinnamon & yellow sided plus some crimson bellied conures and blue Quaker parrots it's been very busy here. Please note: This bird is juvenile, and therfore does not have their adult plumage yet. That means we look a little ruffled.

10.01.2022 PETSLAND CLOSED FRIDAY 25th AND SATURDAY 26th Dear valued customers, as many of you will already know we have been having connectivity issues with our point of sale and EFT system in the last few months, which seems to be worsening over time. Due to this we have made the decision to change our entire point of sale system to a new one, which requires us to manually remove all superseded codes, suppliers and information, then re-enter all store data into a new format. As you ca...n imagine, this is a huge undertaking. We have been working on this behind the scenes for the past week but we have reached a point where the new system now needs to needs to be installed and our staff now need to re-stocktake every single item in store, print new shelf tags, re-install our EFTPOS servers and be trained to use the new system. We cant do this while open for obvious reasons so we have decided to get it over and done with as quickly as we can to stop these connectivity issues. We understand that this will be very inconvenient for everyone, especially when you need food for your pets. Therefore we have decided to leave our roller door partially open so that customers who need specific items can get stock brought to them. Please note as we do not have computers due to the above, there are no EFTPOS facilities or printed receipts available (we can provide hand written receipts if needed) so please bring cash. We are not able to allow people to browse for OHS and stocktake reasons. Our phone will be engaged for most of Friday as we will be on the line to the technical team installing and setting up the program. Thanks so much for understanding and supporting our family owned business.
